ORAKZAI AGENCY: Security forces have killed six terrorists and injured three others during gunship helicopter shelling in various areas of the Agency on Monday.
Sources said that security forces carried out shelling on the hideouts of the terrorists in Dabori, Ali Khel and Nandar Mela where six terrorists were killed and three others wounded.
Two positions of terrorists were also destroyed during the shelling, sources added. SAMAA
Six held in Karachi targeted killings
KARACHI: Korangi police, in separate raids, rounded up six suspects for their alleged involvement in the targeted killings, Geo News reported Friday.
According to police officials, police on a tip-off raided a place in Zia Colony and arrested Irfan Ali alias Iffi along with a pistol for his alleged involvement in the recent incidents of targeted killings in the city.
The police said that the accused, along with his accomplices, fired and killed three people and injured three others on August 4.
In another action, the police nabbed five accused belonging to a group involved in street crimes and decoities. A pistol along with magazine and cartridges were recovered from their possession.

Helicopter Gunships Kill 10 Militants In Mohmand: Ten suspected militants were killed after helicopter gunships shelled militant hide-outs in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region. The operation followed an attack on a security checkpoint in the area that killed two paramilitary soldiers. An intelligence official said gunmen also injured three soldiers when they attacked the checkpoint Tuesday night in Mohmand region

An intelligence official said gunmen also injured three soldiers when they attacked the checkpoint Tuesday night in Mohmand region.
The official said security forces have been unable to establish contact with 10 other soldiers at the checkpoint at the time.
A local government official in Mohmand confirmed the checkpoint attack and Wednesday’s shelling of militant hide-outs in Bai Zai town.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to talk to media.
