Indian troops killed 34 Kashmiris in October

SRINAGAR: Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism, martyred 34 innocent people in October in occupied Kashmir.
According to data compiled by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, one civilian was killed in police custody.
These killings rendered two women widows and ten children orphans.
During the month, 324 people were critically injured when Indian police and troops used brute force, fired bullets and teargas shells against peaceful demonstrators in the occupied territory.

66,000 civilians killed in Iraq war: WikiLeaks
American website WikiLeaks has published 0.4 million secret documents on Iraq War. The report states that 66000 innocent people were killed during the war.
The reports have been forwarded to all the leading media groups of the world. According to WikiLeaks, the US officials ignored news of torture, sexual harassment and murders while it also did not penalize the military personnel involved in the crimes.
Report also states that civilian deaths were kept out of record in Iraq and amongst 109000 killings, 66000 were those who did not participate in the war and were innocent. Medical reports also revealed the fact that thousands of people were tortured to death in Iraq.
KTI, traders support mourning call

KARACHI: Karachi Transport Ittehad and traders have decided to support the mourning call issued by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Wednesday against the target killings.
Condemning the deaths of innocent people, trade bodies said that business activities would remain closed on Wednesday against the violent attacks.
KTI has also decided to keep public transport off the roads today.
Meanwhile, differences have emerged among the management of private schools.
Directorate of Private Schools announced that schools would open on Wednesday, while the chairman of the Private School Association opposed the decision. SAMAA
PM takes notice of Karachi killings, MQM announces one-day mourning
MQMs Rabta Committees meeting in Karachi and London is underway at same time to discuss the law and order situation in the city. On the other hand, PM Gilani has directed the Sindh government to take all possible steps to contain violence in the metropolitan. MQM has announced one day mourning over the killing of innocent people in targeted killing incidents during last few days.
PM Gilani telephoned Governor Sindh Ishratul Ebad, CM Qaim Ali Shah and Sindh Interior Minister Zulfikar Mirza and directed them to take proper and timely steps to control the situation in Karachi. The PM was of the view that Governor Sindh, CM Sindh, Federal Interior Minister and Sindh Interior Minister should sit together and figure out the solution to establish peace in the city.
MQM Rabta Committee has strongly condemned the incident of firing at Sheh Shah in which 12 people were killed. MQM has announced one day mourning. In the meeting, issues of unabated violence in the city and separation from government came under discussion.
Rehman Malik vows to bring killers to justice
Federal Interior Minster called on different political leaders in Karachi and expressed his resolve to bring the target-killers to justice, Dunya News reported on Monday.
Talking to the media personnel at nine-zero the federal minister said that the culprits would not be spared at any cost, regardless of their political affiliations. He also said that he would soon reveal the identities of those behind the recent incidents of target-killing. He added that rivals and miscreants are trying to create differences in the coalition but he assured the nation that the coalition between PPP and MQM would remain intact in future as well.
Speaking on the occasion, leader of MQM Dr. Farooq Sattar said that innocent people are being killed in the city and no action has been taken against those behind the murders of MQM workers. He called Peoples Peace Committee as Peoples Chaos Committee.
India threatens Kashmiri Facebook users

ISLAMABAD: Indian authorities battling to control anti-India protests in the Kashmir Valley are now threatening to prosecute Kashmiris using Facebook and other sites to spread images and ideas that portray the atrocities on innocent people and human rights violations by the occupation troops in the territory.

Gunmen attacked patients ‘enemy of humanity’: Altaf
LONDON: Quaid Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has expressed sadness over slayings of innocent people in Lahore Hospital onslaught by unknown gunmen late on Monday night, Geo news reported.
In a statement issued from London, Altaf Hussain strongly slammed tragic incident wherein terrorist carried out attack on Jinnah Hospital in Lahore, killing five persons and injuring 6 another.
He said gunmen who killed innocent people at hospital are ‘open enemy of humanity’.
“I pray for early recovery of wounded persons”, the statement quoted Altaf as praying.
Nawaz gloomy over Jinnah Hospital attack
LAHORE: Quaid Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Mohammed Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief over deaths of innocent people in attack carried out by unidentified gunmen on Jinnah Hospital here late on Monday night, Geo news reported.
Also, Nawaz issued directives to Chief Minister Punjab Mian Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif to make sure the apprehension of terrorists involved in attack.
According to his statement issued through PML-N’s political Secretary Asif Karmani, he directed PML-N’s party workers to take active part in raising blood donations for those unlucky who were left injured amid tragic incident, sources said.
Mirza sees political motives behind Karachi unrest
KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza has said nearly 200 people have been arrested from various parts of Karachi in connection with target killings and violence.
Interacting with media persons here on Thursday, he said political motives could be involved in a recent spree of target killings, in which 28 people have lost their lives.
The home minister said additional contingent of police and rangers have been deployed in tense areas.
“I strongly denounce the killings of 23 innocent people in the metropolis for the last two days,” he said.
Mirza admitted that there were some political motives behind the Karachi unrest. He, however, hoped that the provincial government would succeed in bringing the situation under control soon.
He observed that some criminal elements were also exploiting the situation.
Financial help announced for Hazara victims
PESHAWAR: The NWFP Government has announced to extend financial assistance to the victims of Hazara protests.
Announcing the package, Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said today families of those killed in Abbottabad protests would get Rs300, 000 each while the injured will be paid Rs100, 000 each.
It may be reminded that nine people were killed and dozens others wounded when police opened direct fire on the enraged protestors in Abbottabad against the renaming of NWFP as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Following the death of innocent people, tension prevails in Abbottabad and other districts of Hazara division.
