Curfew Imposed in Bajaur After Clashes
KHAR, Pakistan News : Authorities on Tuesday imposed a curfew in Bajaur Agency after deadly clashes
with the Taliban amid rising violence away from the battlefield of a major army assault, officials said.
Authorities imposed an indefinite curfew in Khar, the main town of the Bajaur Agency.
“The crossfire continued for three hours. Six militants were killed in retaliatory fire,” Adalat Khan, a local government official said.
“Two civilians were also killed and four, including two women, wounded when a mortar shell landed inside a house,” Khan added.
Armed with rockets and heavy weapons, Taliban militants also attacked the Bajaur headquarters of the local tribal police, he said.
“Some 50 Taliban launched the attack. Troops retaliated, killing six militants,” said a security official based in Khar, adding that two soldiers were wounded.
An intelligence official in the area confirmed the incident and said house to house searches had been launched after the clashes.
“Some electricity poles, a petrol pump and three shops were also damaged,” he added.
Khan said authorities were making an assessment of the losses and that markets, banks, schools and offices were closed.

JAFARABAD, Pakistan News: At least four oil tankers carrying fuel for Nato forces in Afghanistan were destroyed and one driver killed near Quetta early on Tuesday.
The attack took place before dawn in Dera Allah Yar, a small town located near the border between the provinces of Balochistan and Sindh.
Up to eight gunmen fired at the vehicles on a main highway, triggering a blaze that engulfed four oil trucks.
One driver was reported killed and the movement of trucks transporting US and Nato supplies has been temporarily suspended.

Operation in South Waziristan, 3 Militants killed
WANA, Pakistan News: Three militants were killed and eight others injured in ongoing operation Rah –e- Nijat in South Waziristan.
The clashes occurred between militants and security forces in Asman Manza, Makeen and Ladha areas, said sources. Three militants were killed and eight others wounded during these clashes. Security forces took control of more then 100 hideouts of militants whereas huge arms cache and explosives were also recovered and at least 600 militants have been killed so far during operation started on October 17.

Lahore: 13 Alleged Terrorists Arrested
Lahore, Pakistan News: Lahore police have arrested 13 alleged terrorists belonged to Waziristan and South Punjab and recovered explosive material and arms from their possession.
In a press conference SP CIA Umer Wark told that explosive material, arms, CDs and Jehadi literature were recovered from the 11 terrorists of two groups who were involved in attacks on Rescue 15, Manawan, Baidian and FIA building. Two terrorists who attacked Babu Sabu Interchange have also been arrested. He told that these terrorists were belonged to Waziristan and South Punjab and they were planning more attacks in the city.
