Rats rules the roost in a Lahore bakery

A footage received that show rats running on all the bakery items in a reputable bakery in Lahore. The said bakery has rush of customers all the day but in the night when it shuts up, only rats are seen ruling over it.

The said bakery is located at Karim Block area of Iqbal Town at Lahore. Other outlets of the same bakery also seem to be following the same hygienic rules. The deplorable fact is that the authorities concerned are seem to be indifferent regarding the hygiene of their items and the health of the consumers in general.

The food inspectors of city district government and the quality control department sound to have no concern about the issue, while the consumers are being befooled by the big name of the bakery chain.

Faisalabad’s eunuchs protest against murder of a fellow

FAISALABAD: The eunuchs of the city staged a protest against the murder of a fellow eunuch on Friday.

According to details, dozens of eunuchs rallied at Faisalabad Press Club and blocked the District Council Chowk for one hour.

The local president of the eunuchs, Bunty, said on the occasion that the kind of brutal treatment, to eunuchs, had been rendered by the police in Lahore, you can not find any similar example all across the country.

The eunuchs were protesting against the alleged murder of a fellow eunuch, reportedly 25-year-old Amir Sohail alias Jhali, who was killed yesterday under mysterious circumstances in Iqbal Town, Lahore. Trend Pk

2 burned to death in Karachi

KARACHI: Two people were burned alive on Monday after a fire broke out at their apartment located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town of Karachi.

Gulshan-e-Iqbal SSP Iqbal Javed Mehr termed the fire incident a deliberate attempt.

He said that flat’s owner had a heated argument with his daughter over some unknown reason, due to which he set his daughter on fire before turning on himself.

As a result, both father and daughter were burned alive.

Hospital sources confirmed the death of two persons in the fire incident.

Police Recover 1500 Kg Explosive Material In Lahore

LAHORE PAKISTAN : Allama Iqbal Town Police seized over 1500kg explosive material, two suicide jackets, 16 hand grenades and 1200 rounds from a shop at Mehran Block, Gulshan Iqbal here Monday.

SP Iqbal Town Ali Nasir Rizvi said the shop owner, Akmal who had rented out the shop to Omar about three months ago informed the police that Omar had been disappearing for the last two days. Akmal further informed that he broke-open the lock of the shop and found huge quantity of explosive material there. To which, police rushed to the site and seized the explosive, suicide jackets, hand grenades and rounds.

The SP said everything could be destroyed within the radius of 500 meters if the explosive exploded, adding police arrested Akmal, the owner of shop and four others.

Meanwhile, SP Investigation Shoaib Khurram said that the police have started investigation and are looking for Omar who is absconder.

Zardari Should not Address Parliament Till Abolition Of 17th Amendment

Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif said that President Zardari should avoid addressing the parliament until the 17th amendment is not abolished. He said that allowing Pervez Musharraf to leave the country was betrayal with Pakistan.
PML-N leader was speaking to the media in London, where he said that secret hand was behind the Lahore bombings and it should be made public. He accused that the ongoing wave of terror is all due to Pervez Musharraf. He demanded that Musharraf should be brought back to the country and should be tried.
Nawaz Sharif added that the government should take judiciary into confidence on the issue of constitutional reform.
Nawaz pointed that failure to abolish the 17th amendment shows the incompetency of the government. He said that the wealth of the country should be brought back.

Most Schools In Iqbal Are Cloesed Today

LAHORE PAKISTAN: Most schools in Iqbal Town, Lahore are closed today on account of six back-to-back blasts occurred yesterday.

Normalcy of life has returned in the area but however the atmosphere of fear still persists.

Students reaching their schools early in the morning found them locked from outside.

On contacting schools’ administrations, media came to know the decision to keep all schools shut was made owing to last night bombings.
