PCO case: Judges established institution within institution
The Supreme Court in its remarks in the contempt of court case against PCO judges said that PCO judges established institution within institution with the help of dictator. While SM Zafar said that judge itself is a court and it cannot be issued contempt of court notice.
A four-member bench under the supervision of Justice Shahid Siddiqi heard the case against PCO judges. In his remarks, Justice Shahid Siddiqi said that the dictator issued an order which was not approved by the Parliament but the judges supported the dictator. He said that institution within institution cannot be set up. The hearing of the case would be held tomorrow again.

Swiss record taken into custody: NAB
ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Board (NAB) has taken the record of Swiss cases into its custody, NAB spokesman said on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court issued contempt of court notices to chiefs of NAB, FIA, interior ministry and officials of establishment division against the non-implementation of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
In a statement issued today (Monday), the spokesman said that two-member team was sent to London to get the record.
On the other hand, the seven-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said heard the graft case filed against FIA Additional DIG Ahmed Riaz Sheikh.
The chief justice issued notice to acting NAB chairman on NRO ruling.
Supreme Court Issues Contempt Notices to PCO Judges
ISLAMABAD: A 14-member bench of the Supreme Court Monday issued contempt of court notices to the judges that had violated the apex court verdict of November-03 by taking oath under the PCO.
The court also issued contempt notice to a judge Zulfiqar Bukhari for his negative comments over the apex court verdict of July 31st.
The larger bench during hearing of the review appeals of the PCO judges in its remarks said that derogatory attitude towards the judiciary will not be tolerated.
The hearing of the case later adjourned till October 12.
