Oklahoma Unemployment:- Oklahoma’s jobless rate hit 7.1 percent in October, the U.S. Labor Department reported Friday.

The seasonally adjusted rate climbed from 6.7 percent in September. A year ago, the state’s unemployment was at 4.2 percent.

October’s national unemployment rate hit 10.2 percent, the highest level since April 1993, the Labor Department said.

Unemployment rose in 29 states in last month, including record levels of joblessness in California, Delaware and Florida, those government figures showed.

Michigan had the highest unemployment rate at 15.1 percent, followed by Nevada at 13 percent and Rhode Island at 12.9
