Pakistan Will Visit West Indies Without Shahid Afridi
West Indies tour of two test matches, five ODIs and a T-20 match is starting from 18th April will be without Shahid Afridi. Pakistan captain for the world cup Shahid Afridi will not go with the team in the tour. He wants to have rest after the world cup as they are going to get three weeks time before the tour.
India lose 7th wicket at 236 runs against Pak
MOHALI: India lost its seventh batsman, Harbhajan Singh, in the World Cup semifinal at 236 runs. Ajmal Saeed balled and Kamran Akmal stamped out Harbhajan after scoring 12 runs.
Earlier Pakistan took 6th Indian wicket of skipper Mahinder Singh Dhoni on 205 runs. He scored 25 runs and faced 42 balls before getting out by lbw on Wahab Riaz’s ball.
India lost its 5th wicket of Sachin Tendulkar on 187 runs. Tendulkar scored 85 runs but failed to make his historical 100th century in today’s crucial semifinal between India and Pakistan. Skipper Shahid Afridi took catch of Tendulkar on spinner Saeed Ajamal’s ball.
India lost its 4th wicket of Yuv Raj Singh on 141. Singh returned to pavilion without scoring any run as he was clean bowled by Wahab Riaz.
Before Singh, Kohli, Gambhir and Sehwag returned to the pavilion.

India Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in their World Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
Pakistan named an unchanged team from the lineup who beat West Indies in the quarter-finals while India brought in paceman Ashish Nehra for off-spinner Ravichandran Aswhin.
Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who will retire after the World Cup, was left out of the Pakistan XI.
The winner of the clash will meet Sri Lanka in Saturday’s final in Mumbai.
India lose 2nd wicket at 116 runs against Pak
MOHALI: India lost its second batsman, Gautam Gambhir, in the World Cup semifinal at 116 runs.
Gambhir made 27 runs and became victim of Muhammad Hafeez.
Before Gambhir, Sehwag returned to the pavilion after making quick 38. Wahab Riaz got his wicket.

Shoaib Malik Appraised Afridi Captaincy

Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik said that the combination of Pakistan team is very good and they are playing like fighters. He added that Shahid Afridi is playing and leading like a true captain. Malik backed Afridi strategy and said that plans are working for Pakistan at the moment.
PCB Issued a Dead Line To Malik and Akmal
Pakistan Cricket Board has applied for increasing the deadline for announcement of 30 men preliminary squad from ICC and ICC had extended the date announcement of Squad. Pakistan team is in New Zealand and they will start their series with T-20 matches.
There will be three T-20 matches between both countries. So far ODI team of Pakistan team for NZ tour is not announced. It is hopped that it will be announce together with world cup 30 men squad. The team selected for NZ tour didn’t include the names of Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik in it.
Both played and performed well in domestic cricket and the decision was quite strange from PCB. Both players protested against the decision. PCB has asked both players to submit their Assets details to PCB before 30th December. They will have to submit all assets and bank accounts detail to PCB for considering them in selection.
There were doubts that may be it was ICC’s instruction not to include these players in squad. Now there is a chance for both players to consider for selection. Kamran was cleared by ICC from investigation against him for some world cup T-20 matches. He was informed by letter that he is clear for selection.
PCB Integrity Committee Require Players Replies For Clearance

Pakistan Cricket Board was not able to meet the dead line of ICC for announcement of preliminary squad for the world cup. ICC after reviewing the application of PCB had extended the dead line for announcement of preliminary squad. Now PCB has dead line of 5th December to announce the squad for the world cup.
The reason for the delay was that the players were not getting clearance from PCB. Now PCB has asked players to submit their replies to the integrity committee of PCB. Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and Danish Kaneria were three players who didn’t get clearance from PCB. Now these players will submit their replies to committee.
PCB didn’t select these three players for the NZ tour and also not announce any reason for this. According to estimates their might be some instruction from ICC for not including the players in the squad. PCB didn’t announce the ODI team for the tour and it is expected that after clearance all three players will get their place in the squad.
Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik were not happy after the decision of not including them in the team. They demanded that PCB should tell them the reason for not selecting them even after they performed well in the Domestic.
World Cup Squad PCB is waiting for ICC clearance
Pakistan Cricket Board has delayed the announcement of 30 player’s primary squad for ICC world cup 2011. The integrity meeting of Pakistan cricket board was held on Wednesday, 15 September under the leadership of chairman PCB, Ijaz Butt. All the members of the governing body agreed to include former captain Shoaib Malik and wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal for the world cup squad. Before this meeting these news were rounding in the media that may be these two star players will be not the part of the squad for the mega event. it is to be noted that ICC told about their reservations about Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and the leg spinner Danish Kaneria after the match fixing and spot fixing scandals All three players was also participated in this meeting in which the PCB officials asked different sort of questions from the players. PCB also asked for the complete details for their total property and income. After the meeting former captain and the wicket keeper batsman looked very satisfied. PCB asked for the permission to make these players as a part of the team. The ICC will respond within three to four days and PCB is now waiting for the ICC’s decision. Due to this PCB cannot announce the names of 30 possible players for the Mega event.

Before this the captain of Pakistan cricket team Shahid Afridi has also said that Shoaib Malik, and Kamran Akmal are the most senior and very experienced players and they should be the part of team in the New Zealand tour as well as in the biggest event of cricket. It is to be remember that ICC has already suspend three top players of Pakistan.
Left arm Pacer Muhammad Aamir, fast blower Muhammad Asif and the former test captain Sulman Butt and they will be not a part of the team for the World Cup. In the absence of these three players Pakistani team became already very week. As the captain Shahid Afridi, Coach Intakhab Alam and former players of Pakistan accepted that Pakistani cricket team is not fully prepared for the mega event as compared to other big teams.
In the current situation it is necessary that ICC should give a transparent and quick decision about these two players. Both of these players are valuable for the team and if these players will be the part of the team Pakistan will come in a stable position.

PCB Seek Time To Finalize Preliminary World Cup Squad

To decide about the 30 men for the preliminary world cup squad a meeting was held today but according to information there is no result of the meeting. PCB is not able to decide about the final 30 name that has to be announce as preliminary world cup squad. A meeting held at the head quarter at Lahore but it was decided that 30 men name will be announced on later dates.
19th December is the deadline given by ICC for the preliminary world cup squad. There are some reports that PCB is consulting to add Shoaib Malikh, Kamran Akmal and Danish Keneria name in the 30 men list. There are some reports that Board is also seeking clearance of these three players.
The statement issued by PCB stated that in the meeting different issues were discussed and it was decided that ODI team for New Zealand tour and for the world cup will be announce on later dates. Three main players Asif, Aamir and Salman Butt will definitely be not a part of world cup squad as they are suspended by ICC.
Kamran Akmal, Danish Kaneria, Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved matter was also highlighted in the meeting. A source said that there is no justification that for dropping these experienced players. Chief selector, Mohsin Khan said that PCB clearance is necessary for player selection.
Kamran,Shoaib And Kaneria Will Be Missing From World Cup Squad
According to media reporting in Pakistan three Pakistani players Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and Danish Kaneria will not be a part of Pakistani squad for the world cup. These players are not selected for the tour of New Zealand and according to reports they will not be in World Cup 2011 squad.
ICC has not given clearance to these three players and it was reported earlier that ICC will send Pakistan a clearance list of players and then Pakistan will send 30 men list to ICC. It is reported today that three players did not get ICC clearance.
In the domestic cricket of Pakistan Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik performed well but still not picked by Pakistani selectors. The training camp for preparation of NZ tour has stated today and player reported and participated in the training secession.
Pakistan’s team manager Intakhab Alam said that there is a lot of potential in Pakistani players and they are lot better then New Zealand team. He also said that better cricket is expected in New Zealand’s tour.
It is also announce that world cup squad will be announce in New Zealand. The chance of coming back in team for Kamran Akmal, Shoadb Malik and Denish Kaneria is very few.
Zulqarnain Haider Loses Another Lawyer
Pakistan’s former wicketkeeper batsman Zulkernain Haider is losing his legal team. He is in difficulties and the he himself is the reason of all problems. His lawyer Natasha Malik has also decided to left wicketkeeper alone and withdraws her services to Zulkernain.
He is not ready to cooperate with legal team and he is also not disclosing the facts to the lawyer.
Ansar Burni associates also with draws their services to the wicket keeper. Zulkernain Haider had left Pakistan team before the match in Dubai against South Africa. According to information he is not cooperating with his lawyers. He wrote on his face book that he will open the name of players who take money for losing matches.
Natasha said that Zulkernain is adamant to numerous offers made by the Pakistan Cricket Board this is the main reason that she has decided to quit the case. Kamran Akmal, Danish Kanaria and Shoaib Malik are the other three cricketers who had failed to get clearance from PCB.
Pakistan team is in difficulties since their agent Mazher Majeed named Pakistani player and alleged them for helping him in spot fixing. Zulkernain also said that he received threats from unknown person and added that his family also has some threats and demanded full security to his family.
