TrendPK.com: Many were surprised when Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter announced their split after three years of dating, but it sounds like successful women and Jeter might not mix.
It is being rumored that Jeter split with Kelly because she was getting a little too famous, states E! News. He reportedly liked to stay out of the spotlight with her, but her new TV show, ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ was putting her out in the public eye more.
He has previously had breakups similar to this one as he reportedly split with Vanessa Minnillo as she was a rising star. However, some think that both Jeter and Kelly are open to getting back together.

The first sentence out of Lew Perkins’ mouth included the words I accept responsibility and he probably wishes he could’ve just stopped there. It would’ve saved him aggravation, humiliation, and, most strikingly, attacks of ammunition.
This may have been his worst day as Kansas athletic director.
Without question, it is the day his image turns in the eyes of many.
There are so many things to take out of a tenuous and fascinating press conference on Kansas’ campus Wednesday that announced the findings of an internal investigation into a scandal involving up to $3 million in tickets and six former employees.
The takeaway is that the university is shamed, again, another in a long line of foul-ups during Perkins’ seven years as athletic director. There was the Moon Bar stabbing and the point plankn fights and the Mark Mangino mess, and now we have white-collar fraud gone rampant.
Kansas fans move to the back of the line in position for the high ground, by now buried with far more — and recent — embarrassment than secret buyouts at Kansas State or jailhouse tapes at Missouri.
The NBA has rescinded Perkins’ second technical, which means the very call that banished from the second half of the game last night was a mistake, for which the Celtics have already been punished mightily.
It just doesn’t have to be that way. Video review, insight from the players and the referees about the things that might not have been obvious on video … these things can be done in a during the game, even in a timeout. Whoever weighed in on this decision at the league offices in New York today, where were they last night? If they couldn’t have been in Orlando, at the very least they could have been in front of an HD screen with a feed of multiple video angles, and a phone connected to the sideline to run questions by referees
Perkins has always inspired an effective blend of fear and respect, which he’s been able to use as part of his power. What matters now is whether and how much that’s impacted by an embarrassing, seven-figure scandal that he should’ve been able to prevent.

Seven out of the eight American Idol winners returned to the Idol stage last night and performed a tribute to outgoing judge Simon Cowell.
Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks and Kris Allen, joined by a gaggle of past contestants gathered on stage to sing Delta Goodrem’s ‘Together We are One.’ The only person missing was season seven winner David Cook, who had to attend a charity event instead.
Their duet is particularly special because it’s dedicated to our favorite cantankerous judge. Clarkson’s Facebook page announces, “Don’t miss Kelly performing tonight on American Idol! She and fellow winner Fantasia will be performing ‘Together We Are One’ as a farewell performance to Simon Cowell.”
Season One winner Kelly Clarkson’s Facebook page announced the performance earlier in the day, alerting fans not to miss her performance on the finale tonight. It read:
“Don’t miss Kelly performing tonight on American Idol! She and fellow winner Fantasia will be performing ‘Together We Are One’ as a farewell performance to Simon Cowell.”

The Cincinnati Cyclones completed an improbable comeback Friday night to win their second Kelly Cup in three seasons, beating the Idaho Steelheads 2-1 at US Bank Arena in Cincinnati. The Cyclones won the Kelly Cup series, four games to one.A Cyclones record crowd of 13,483 cheered on the home team.
Brett Robinson scored what proved to be the game winning goal 10:23 into the second period, taking a feed from Jason Jozsa and pushing the puck past Idaho goalie, Rejean Beachemin.
Dustin Sproat had given the Cyclones a 1-0 lead in the first period, taking a feed from Brett Motherwell. Ian McKenzie also assisted. Idaho’s Matt McKnight tied the game at 5:51 into the second period.
Neither team placed many shots on goal. Idaho managed 23 shots, but the Cyclones were more efficient, converting twice on just 16 shots on goal.
Just two weeks ago, the Cyclones were left for dead, down 0-3 to the Reading Royals in the conference finals. They rallied for two road wins and then completed the comeback in that series with a pair of wins in Cincinnati. At the time, they became only the sixth team in professional hockey history to come back from a 0-3 deficit to win a seven game series.
Idaho came into this finals series with the best regular season record in the ECHL. But the Steelheads lost home ice advantage, dropping the first two games in the series to the Cyclones in Boise. The Steelheads cut the deficit to two games to one with a win in double overtime in game three at the US Bank Arena. But the Cyclones rebounded to win game No. 4 Thursday night, 3-2. Every one of the five games in the Kelly Cup Finals was decided by one goal.
The city of Cincinnati will honor the Cyclones Kelly Cup win with a Fountain Square celebration this Sunday afternoon at 2pm

Chelsea King Arrest Breaking news updates :- A registered sex offender from Southern California was arrested Sunday in the disappearance of a suburban San Diego teenager missing for three days after going for a run in a park.
The arrest prompted Kelly and Brent King, the parents of Chelsea King, to release the following statement Sunday evening.
Chelsea King’s BMW was found in the park after she failed to return to her home in suburban Poway, Calif. on Thursday, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Caldwell said.
Her parents pleaded for her return.
“Anybody out there if they know anything, please just help us bring her home,” mother Kelly King said. “She’s such a good girl. She needs to come home.”
Investigators also looked for clues on the teen’s cell phone, which was found in her car, and on her home computer.
The search for Chelsea King, a straight-A senior at Poway High School, also took to the Internet, where a Facebook page generated more than 24,000 fans. A Web site was created at findchelsea.com.
