Lahore: Roof collapse claims two lives
According to details, roof of an old two-storey house collapsed in Baghbanpura after heavy rain on Monday morning, killing two people and injuring seven others. Those who died were identified as 15-year-old Iram and 20-year-old Bakhtawar.
Rescue teams have shifted the injured to hospital from where they were released after treatment.

KARACHI: Five people, including a minor boy, were killed and two others wounded in separate acts of violence in Karachi on Saturday.
According to reports, unknown miscreants set ablaze a mini bus, motorcycle and auto rickshaw in different parts of the country’s commercial capital.
In Baldia Town, unidentified gunmen shot dead a 38-year-old person and torched a mini bus.
In another attack, Tayyab ur Rehman of Landhi was killed.
An auto rickshaw and motor cycle were set on fire in Paposh, killing two persons.

SWABI: Taliban militants stormed Swabi Police Lines Monday morning, killing two policemen and injuring eight others.
According to reports, armed militants tried to force their way through the gate of Police Lines by lobbing grenades and opening fire at guards, leading to a shootout.
A few moments later, a loud explosion took place at the site of the attack.

KHYBER AGENCY: Unknown militants set several NATO tankers on fire after killing two persons, including a driver, in Kurram Agency late Thursday night.
The attack took place in Tehsil Jamrud, Khyber Agency, according to sources.
The NATO tankers were returning from Afghanistan.

Two killed in Bahawalpur mosque firing
Unidentified persons entered into a mosque and opened fire, killing two people on the spot and injured 8 others.
According to police, three armed men opened indiscriminate fire after Fajar prayer in Satellite Town due to which two persons were killed. The injured were shifted to Victoria hospital where one injured is stated to be critical. Angry people staged protest outside the mosque and chanted slogans. DPO Babar Bakht said that the attackers seemed to be locals and would be arrested soon.

The dead Taliban commander, Naseebzada, was wanted by security forces in several acts of terrorism.
According to sources, an exchange of fire took place between army troops and Taliban militants in hilly area of Pir Baba.
In Lower Orakzai, troops pounded militant hideouts, killing two terrorists and arresting two others.

MANILA: A bomb went off outside an airport in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines, killing two people and wounding 24, local officials said.
Police said the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device. “There was one man who died on the spot and he could be the one who detonated the explosive device,” Celso Lobregat, mayor of the city on Mindanao Island, told reporters after the incident.
He later said another man had died while being treated at a hospital and 24 were wounded. They included Sakur Tan, governor of the southern island of Jolo, a hotbed of militancy in the mainly Roman Catholic state.
