Shane Bond, “I was victimize by politics”
Shane Bond recently gave a statement that became the talk of the town. According to Shane he became a victim of politics. The victimization process began after he was signed by an unofficial Indian Cricket League. He was discarded by his own cricket board after he signed that contract. When Shane was asked about his decision of joining that unofficial league; he said that he had no regrets. He was proud he took the decision but his own cricket board disappointed him. Shane said that the cricket board of New Zealand permitted the players to join the League but they backed out when the time for the signing of agreement arrived.
Shane said that the cricket board always supported him and told the players that they could play for New Zealand and ICC but they backed out. Shane only felt bad about the fact when they abused him for not playing for his country. He can’t take this accusation that he does not wish to play for his own country. Shane joined ICL in January 2007 and after signing the agreement he was not taken in the national cricket team for the next two years; as he was involved in the ICL.
He returned in June 2009. He was taken in the national team on the condition that he would no more be playing for ICL. He played for Delhi Giants initially but later he joined Kolkata Knight Riders as the owner of the team bid US $750000 for him. Bond is a dedicated player and his fans support him in whatever decision he takes.
Pakistan’s Irfan signed by Kolkata Knight Riders
LAHORE: Pakistan’s tall fast bowler Mohammad Irfan has signed a one-year contract with Kolkata Knight Riders for playing Indian Premier League.
Talking with media here today at the National Cricket Academy, Irfan said that after the trials were held for including new players in Kolkata Knight Riders, he was offered a contract which he has accepted.
Mohammad Irfan said he desires to play for his country and hopes he would soon achieve his goal.

Sania Mirza’s Elaborate ‘Mehendi’ Ceremony Today
HYDERABAD DECCAN: Lavish preparations have been done for newly wed Sania Mirza’s elaborate ‘mehendi’ ceremony to be held today.
Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik entered matrimony at a much-hyped ‘nikah’ ceremony yesterday at the Taj Krishna hotel in Hyderabad.
Sania’s spokesperson Richa Naik informed the media outside the Taj Krishna. “Please pray for the couple’s happiness. There is also a mehendi ceremony on Tuesday and sangeet on Wednesday”, she added.
Ironically, the couple made the solemn oath at the same hotel where Sania had got engaged to her childhood friend Sohrab Mirza on July 10 last year amid much fanfare. The tennis ace had called off the engagement on January 28 this year citing ‘incompatibility’.
At the wedding, Sania was wearing the same red saree, which her mother had worn at her own Nikah 25 years ago. On the other hand, Shoaib was seen wearing a black sherwani designed by renowned designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil.

SRK apologizes to fans, sponsors of KKR on Twitter after team’s humiliating defeat
After 2 disastrous seasons at the IPL, it’s all but over for SRK’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at this year’s IPL too. Last night, after a humiliating defeat to Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (in what was a must win match), KKR is down and well…almost out of the tournament.
Shah Rukh Khan, who has always backed his boys, is but naturally upset at the dismal poor performance of his team yet again. “Outbatted, outbowled, outclassed…out of semis. Never lost so much, so often and so consistently. Apologies to all who supported us”, tweeted the superstar minutes after his team crashed out last night.
The actor also thanked all his fans and sponsors and apologized to them for letting them down yet again. “I completely take the blame for not putting up a good enough show…so much love for KKR & I couldn’t reciprocate. Final thanx to Kolkata audience. U make us proud…couldn’t do the same…& can’t make any promises for future either, have lost the right. I am not sad. Just feel awful for Kolkata & all of this, most wonderful city & my sponsors…Nokia & XXX drink. No promises anymore. Bye all.”
While it’s almost the end of the road for SRK’s team at this year’s IPL, it will be interesting to watch what plan of action the superstar comes up with to put up a better show next year around.
