Car sale increases by 46 percent
In spite of flood devastation in the country, car sale has been increased by 46 percent during the month of September.
At least 11,663 cars were sold in September while 8,000 cars were sold last in the same month. According to the data, 33,496 cars were sold during first quarter of the fiscal year while last year in the same period 30,519 cars were sold.

LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Aslam Tareen has said that six of a militant group involved in attacks on Ahmadi worship places, Parade Lane attack in Rawalpindi, attack on Youm-e-Ashur procession in Karachi last year and many others have been arrested.
He was addressing a press conference in Police Lines here today.
Huge quantity of weaponry and explosive was also recovered from them, he added. ‘They belonged to Harkat-e-Jihad-ul-Islami and Fazal Mehsud Group.’

NEW YORK: A New York defense lawyer has demanded that the suspect in the botched car bombing in Times Square be brought to court.
Ron Kuby sent a letter to a chief judge Tuesday that accused authorities of violating the rights of Faisal Shahzad by “squeezing information” out of him in secret.
The 30-year-old Shahzad has been held at an undisclosed location since his May 3 arrest on charges he abandoned a bomb-laden SUV in Times Square.
Authorities say he has voluntarily waived his rights to an initial court appearance while he cooperates.
Kuby said he wasn”t representing Shahzad. But he argued that since the suspect hasn”t appeared in court yet, it was impossible to know if his rights are being protected.
