Terrorists attack PNS Mehran, Karachi
KARACHI: Two powerful explosions and firing were heard near the Pakistan Air force (PAF) Museum, TrendPK reported Sunday night.
Eyewitnesses informed TrendPK that two blasts were heard at about 10:35pm.
Sources said that 10 to 15 terrorists are still in PNS Mehran where exchange of firing between terrorists and law enforcement agencies continue.
Police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies rushed and cordoned off the area soon after the blasts and firing.
Rescue teams including Edhi and Chhipa ambulances have entered PAF Faisal Base.
The CPLC Chief Ahmed Chinoy said that the situation was not clear yet.
Ahmed requested people to take alternative routes as rush on the roads have disturbed rescue teams to reach on the spot.
Exchange of firing still continues.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik directed law enforcement agencies to reach where terrorists attacked.
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has telephoned Rehman Malik, directing him to take appropriate measures immediately.
Peshawar: 9 killed in Swabi Interchange suicide blast
PESHAWAR: At least nine people, including a policeman, have been killed and several others wounded in a suicide bomb blast at a reception arranged for JUI-F chief Maulana Fazal-ur Rehman, near Swabi Interchange, TrendPK reported Wednesday.
Police and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area; the bodies and injured have been taken to Swabi’s district hospital.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman remained safe in the attack.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Altaf Hussain and other key politicians condemned the attack. TrendPK

At least seven people were killed and several others were injured in a bomb explosion near the reception rally of Maulana Fazlur Rahman in Anbar area of Swabi on Wednesday.
According to News Trends, the bomb exploded moments after the convoy of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Ameer, Fazlur Rahman, passed through the area.
The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off area after the incident and the rescue workers started the rescue operations. The injured were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.

Karachi: Main accused of Ashoora blasts arrested

The law enforcement authorities have declared the arrest of this militant an important and big success.
According to the law enforcement sources, the accused Qari Muhammad Aleem Khan confessed to install bombs at the locations of Ashoora procession and Paposh Nagar while, he also confessed that he planned Jinnah Hospital and Nursery blasts.
The sources further disclosed that the accused shifted from Chitral to Karachi in 80’s where he studied. Later on, he joined a banned organization.
Sui-Karachi Gas Pipeline Blown up

KASHMORE, trendpk: Miscreants blew up gas pipeline supplying gas to the Punjab suspending distribution in various parts amid chill weather.
The 18-inch diameter pipeline was blown in Kashmore with explosives. The personnel of law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area.
Three hurt in Peshawar explosion
At least three people got injured in a bomb blast occurred in the outskirts of Peshawar on Thursday morning, trendpk.com reported.
As per details, the explosion took place in a house located in government officials colony in Hassan Garhi ground, which resulted in injury to three persons including PC Hotels security guard Amir, driver of a private school and a passer-by. However, no causality was reported.
The explosion sound was so powerful that it was audible far and wide places. Police and other law enforcement agencies threw cordon around the area. Rescue officials rushed the scene and shifted the wounded to Lady Reading Hospital.
FIA team arrives in Quetta to probe convoy attack

KARACHI: A special FIA team has arrived in Quetta to launch a preliminary probe into Tuesday’s suicide attack on the convoy of Balcohistan’s Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani.
According to security sources, senior FIA official Khalid Qureshi is heading the visiting team.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik had directed the FIA to hold an immediate inquiry into the attack that killed one person and left several others injured.
Immediately after arriving in Quetta, the FIA team visited the site of the blast and gathered information from the local police and officials of law enforcement agencies.
Sources say that FIA has finalized a preliminary report on the attack. Trend Pk
