SYDNEY: England batsman Kevin Pietersen believes he is back to his best form just at the right time with the Ashes series against Australia just a couple of weeks away.

The mercurial 30-year-old was dropped by England for the Twenty20 and one-day series against Pakistan in September after a poor run of form.

A spell playing back in South Africa, the land of his birth, had rejuvenated him, Pietersen said, and his 58 was England’s top first innings score in the three-day tour match against Western Australia in Perth.

“I’ve never really been a technical player. I play like a clown,” he told England’s official website (www.ecb.co.uk)

“It’s just my mental approach that I needed to change, just get a load of confidence back, and I’m on fire at the moment.

“I’m looking forward now, I’m not interested in what’s gone. I’m very happy with what’s

Demi Lovato Rehab, Demi Lovato, one of Disney’s biggest names, checked herself into a treatment center to deal with “emotional and physical issues,” her representatives said in a statement Monday night.

A person familiar with the situation previously told The Associated Press that Lovato entered treatment for problems including an eating disorder and cutting herself. The person, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly due to the sensitivity of the matter, later clarified the statement, saying Lovato had dealt with those issues in the past.

Lovato, who is star of Disney’s “Camp Rock” movies and the sitcom “Sonny With a Chance,” was on an international tour as a special guest of the Jonas Brothers, but left the tour over the weekend to enter an undisclosed facility, according to the statement.

“Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help,” the statement said. “She is doing just that. Demi and her family ask that the media respect her privacy during this difficult time.”

In a 2009 interview with The Associated Press, Lovato, who has also released several records, said she had to leave middle school at one point because she was bullied so badly.

“It was more verbal harassment than physical abuse, but that’s actually more scarring than anything,” she said. “And I had to leave because I just couldn’t deal with it. And I’ve home-schooled ever since.”

Lovato was linked earlier this year to Joe Jonas, her “Camp Rock” co-star, but the two later broke up and said they remained friends.

Her rep said Lovato regretted not finishing the tour but “is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”

After playing a baddie in Shootout At Lokhandwala, Tusshar Kapoor had yet another opportunity of playing a negative role this time in Venus Films’ multi-starrer action thriller Tez (earlier titled Bullet Train) to be directed by Priyadarshan. However, Tusshar has to now opt out of the film due to date issues.

Confirming the same, Tusshar says, “Yes I was supposed to be a part of the film but unfortunately they pushed the dates ahead which ended up clashing with my dates for Rajshri’s film Love U Mr. Kalakaar. The schedule was supposed to start in September in London but it has now been pushed to October and there was no way I could adjust my dates and fly down to London in October. My dates would have gone haywire. I had no choice but to opt out of the film.”

Nevertheless, Tusshar is beaming with joy these days especially after the positive response to the promos of Golmaal 3. Says the actor, “Yes… the response so far has been superb. I am looking forward to the audiences reactions when the film releases this Diwali.”
