London: Kate undertakes solo public engagements

 

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, undertook her first solo public engagement on Wednesday with a visit to London s National Portrait Gallery.

 

The Duchess, also known as Kate, has recently become a Patron of the gallery. She attended a private viewing of an exhibit by artist Lucien Freud.

 

Kate studied history of art of St. Andrews University in Scotland, where she met and fell in love with Prince William.

 

The Duke of Cambridge is currently serving in the Royal Airforce in the Falklands. He is not due back in Britain until the middle of next month, so Kate will be spending Valentine s Day without her husband.

 

Instead she is spending February 14 visiting her chosen charities in Liverpool, northwest England. She will visit an alcohol free bar in her role as Patron of Action on Addiction. Then she will visit a children s hospital and tour oncology and burns unit facilities.
 

Pippa Middleton apparently not dating George Percy

TrendPK.com: It seems that Pippa Middleton is not moving forward with her love life as it is now rumored that she is not dating her good friend, George Percy.

While the two were recently linked together as a possible couple, they are apparently keeping things simple by staying friends for now, states UsMagazine.com. They are reportedly not only friends, but have more of a brother and sister relationship.

Percy is reportedly the future Duke of Northumberland.

DAR Motion Pictures Nikhil Advani join hands for Sudhir Mishras Mehrunissa

Putting to rest all the speculation behind the producers of Sudhir Mishra’s dream project Mehrunissa, Nikhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment Private Limited (Emmay) and DAR Motion Pictures, today announced that they have joined hands, coming together to produce and present this project.

On producing Mehrunissa, Arun Rangachari, Chairman, DAR Capital Group, says, “Mehrunissa is today among one of the most anticipated movies within the industry being propelled and helmed by some of the best in the business. This apart, the movie perfectly matched our sensibilities of what we would define as good commercial cinema and we had absolutely no hesitation partnering in this project. It is an honour to be part of a project of this stature.”

Set in the beautiful locales of Lucknow, Mehrunissa is a romantic drama with light hearted moments that track the enmity of two bitter rivals and their past bromance. Alternating between the present and the past the story deals with their actions when the love of their life returns to their world.

Commenting on his association with DAR, Nikhil Advani says, “Mehrunissa is a project that is very close to all our hearts. Being one of the most interesting and challenging films coming out of our banner this year meant that it was essential that our partner’s sensibilities, vision, values, etc. were completely in sync with Sudhir and us. Our decision to partner with DAR was in this very spirit.”

Director Sudhir Mishra sharing the same sentiment said, “Mehrunissa has lived with us for a very long time, and having a partner like DAR on board is an added strength. A project of this stature needs a strong foundation; DAR & Emmay provide exactly that & more”.

Madonna’s “W.E.”–cleverly redubbed “WTF?” by Kyle Smith in the New York Post

TrendPK.com: Madonna may be getting ready for her big Super Bowl half time show on Sunday. But her movie, “W.E.” has opened to the worst reviews of her entire horridso called film career. “W.E.”–cleverly redubbed “WTF?” by Kyle Smith in the New York Post, has scored a measly 18% on Rottentomatoes.com. That’s out of 100%. Critics around the country and the world-especially the British papers–hate it. I told you this would happen last September when “W.E.”–Madonna’s misinterpretation of the love story of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor–opened at the Toronto Film Festival. Since then much has happened–including Madonna’s ex-communication of cast member Abbe Cornish, who, according to sources, “she simply doesn’t like.” Only actress Andrea Riseborough, who plays Wallis Simpson, has made the publicity rounds.
Ironically, just as Madonna is performing in Indianapolis on Sunday, the full weekend box office numbers should be out–and they won’t be pretty. That is unless you’re interested in seeing the Duchess of Windsor dance to Chubby Checker’s “The Twist” while her husband watches from his death bed. Or listening to Madonna dismiss the couple’s visit to Hitler and their support of Nazi Germany. Or see actor James D’Arcy– a six foot two slim model–play Edward, the five foot seven nincompoop who abdicated (thank goodness) the British crown to marry an already twice wedded American who reportedly cheated on him.

“W.E.” is an odd and off putting movie, that’s for sure. The dialogue is crass, the sense of history is derived from skipping high school classes. But I must take credit for one thing — I dubbed this film “Wally and Wallis” in July 2010 as a tribute to “Julie and Julia.” Now everyone’s hopping on the bandwagon. But when people from two different eras–one dead, one alive because she’s breathing–start talking to each other, you know there’e trouble.

Kim Kardashian accused of formerly cheating with Kanye West

TrendPK.com: Kim Kardashian has had a lot of drama in her love life recently, but now some old drama is apparently coming up.

Kim is reportedly being accused of cheating with Kanye West while he was with Amber Rose and she was with Reggie Bush, states RadarOnline.com. “She was sending pictures, and I was like, ‘Kim, just stop. Don’t be that person,’” Amber said about the situation that allegedly broke her and Kanye up.

But even though Kim has previously denied anything went on at that time, Amber claims differently: “She’s a homewrecker!”

It’s Celebrity Engagement Season!

It seems to be celebrity engagement season at the moment; Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman are the latest couple to announce their intention to tie the knot. Reportedly Kopelman popped question around the holidays during a trip to Idaho, this will be Barrymore’s third marriage.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have been reported to have recently gotten engaged after four years together. They briefly broke up last year but they were back together again after a couple of months. Their reps are yet to either confirm or deny the rumors.

Mario Lopez has finally proposed to girlfriend Courtney Mazza, the Saved by the Bell Star proposed over New Year’s weekend in Ixtapa, Mexico. The couple got together in 2008 and they have a two year old daughter together.

One of the more surprising announcements of late comes from Steven Tyler and his now fiance, Erin Brady. The Aerosmith frontman is taking the plunge for the third time, although if reports are to be believed, not all of Tyler’s family is particularly happy about their union.

Are Maria Shriver & Arnold Schwarzenegger Getting Back Together?

Maria Shriver & Arnold Schwarzenegger’s very public breakup is back in the spotlight with speculation running wild as to whether they are getting back together. Apparently Shriver is considering taking Schwarzenegger back. The estranged couple spent Christmas together with their three children; Katherine, 22, Christina, 20, Patrick, 18, and Christopher, 14.

Over the last few days Schwarzenegger has been photographed wearing his wedding ring. Today TMZ has reported that Shriver has now been spotted wearing something on her ring finger but it’s unclear if it’s actually her wedding ring. The couple has been seen frequently together since announcing their separation in May last year. And both have been making an effort to keep their separation amicable.

It has also been reported that a major factor is her religious beliefs; she is a devout catholic, who don’t believe in divorce. And apparently Arnold has been going to great lengths to try and win her back by showering her with gifts.

Kate Winslet Dating Ned Rocknroll

Kate Winslet is said to be dating Ned Rocknroll, who is Richard Branson’s nephew. The pair reportedly met whilst both were staying at Virgin tycoon Branson’s Caribbean holiday island of Necker. They were both on the Caribbean island last month when the main house was ravaged by fire.

Ned Rocknroll, used to be known as Ned Abel Smith until he changed his name by deed poll a few years back to Ned Rocknroll. Ned works for Branson’s space initiative, Virgin Galactic. He separated from his wife, heiress Eliza Cowdray, earlier this year and was apparently on the island to nurse his broken heart.

But if recent reports are to be believed Winslet and Ned have been dating since their island holiday. They were both pictured this week attending the memorial service for Branson’s father, Ted at the Royal Geographical Society’s headquarters in Kensington, London.

Winslets agent spoke to MailOnline today and neither confirmed nor denied the rumors;

‘As usual, I am making no comment on Kate’s private life.’

Did Jennifer Lopez And Bradley Cooper go on a Date

Jennifer Lopez and Bradley Cooper have sparked the rumor mill, after they went out to dinner together a few days ago. The pair was spotted at Per Se, a restaurant located at Columbus Circle in New York City.

Any hint of romance has been denied by the actor’s reps, their dinner date has been explained away by saying that they were simply discussing a future “project,” But according to TMZ sources the dinner was “romantic” and intimate. And The New York Post has reported that the couple were “heavily flirting” with each other over dinner.

Both are fairly recently single; Lopez split from husband Marc Anthony after seven years of marriage in July, Cooper and Renee Zellweger announced their split after two years together in March. A simple two hour dinner together has well and truly triggered a great deal of speculation of whether they were up to more than just business.
