Togo football team bus fired
Gunmen have opened fire with machine guns on a bus carrying Togo’s football team to the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola, wounding several players.
The Africa Cup of Nations is due to start on Sunday.
Togo’s first game is to be played on Monday in oil-rich Cabinda where rebels have been fighting for independence.
The Togolese team includes Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who is not among those wounded, Manchester City says.
Those injured also include team doctors. The identities of the injured are not known.

Sources said that forces targeted militants’ hideouts in Makeen and Laddah entire night. Forces are also consolidating their hold in Jandollah, Sararogha, Shakai and Kani Garam. Large caches of weapons and explosives were seized by security forces during search operation. Suicide jackets, machine guns, hand grenades and rockets were seized by forces.
