Altaf sees France-like revolution coming

BHIT SHAH: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Saturday said his party’s Sindh Convention will turn out to be the last nail in the coffin of those working for Sindh partition.

Addressing the party’s Sindh Convention held here in Bhit Shah near Hyderabad, MQM chief Altaf Hussain said nobody could block the path of revolution in Pakistan.

‘Conspiracies were hatched in past against the people speaking Urdu and Sindhi languages, however, today’s gathering will drive the last nail into the coffin of these plotters,’ Muttahida founder stressed.

‘Today’s convention proves that Sindh was in the foremost position in the making of Pakistan,’ he added.

He also urged the party to seriously decide about staying with the coalition government. TrendPK

SBP Launches New 500-Rupee Note

SBP Launches New 500-Rupee Note, State Bank of Pakistan has issued new 500 notes with protective characteristics.
According to State Bank, optical variable ink is used in the making of the said notes, adding that this method has been used as precautionary measures and to uplift the standard. A crescent and star have been made on the right side of the 500 note and viewed from different aspects, magenta and green colours become conspicuous on the note owing to the optical variable ink, besides the signatures of SB Governor Saleem Raza could also be seen on the note. However, the SBP has said that the current 500 notes would also remain in use. Earlier, the State Bank released 500 note on November 2006.
