“Speed, overcome speed. I have a lot of speed as well and I think my jab, just be able to go in front of him and patch all day long,” Mosley said during the weigh-in. “I’m very good with the movement, with my speed, my power, everything is to fall in line.”
Mosley weighed in at 147 lbs, just one pound heavier than Mayweather did. Mayweather was relatively quiet during the early goings of the weigh in, but eventually did weigh in on what he has to do in order to win. “May the best man win. I’m pretty sure Shane feels deep in his heart and deep in his soul he’s ganna win and I feel the same way. That makes it a mega fight.”
Mosley responded by saying “That’s what people misinterpret about me. They think I’m just a puncher. I’, not just a puncher, I’m a boxer too as well. I start as a boxer when I was just an amateur then I end up becoming a puncher so I can knock out everybody so we could go into business.”

Mayweather Demands Olympic Style Drug Testing Of Pacquiao On top of the fight everyone is talking about, the proposed March 13th mega event of Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr, fans and media are also talking about the Olympic Style Drug testing that team Mayweather Jr. is demanding in order for the fight to take place.
The rigorous testing, a stipulation brought forth during negotiations, will be in place to check both combatants blood and urine samples against steroids, illegal substances and chemicals that might improve performance.
Manny Pacquiao’s Boxing conditioning expert, Alex Ariza is apparently pissed off with the constant demands of the drug tests, which are in addition to the tests performed and required by the very capable Nevada State Athletic Commission. Ariza is not so much angry at the Olympic style drug testing (Ariza is cool with the extra drug testing) wanted by team Mayweather Jr. for both fighters, but is pissed that Team Mayweather Jr. seems to be keeping their focus on the unproven allegations that Pacquiao takes some sort of performance enhancing drug or steroid.
Ariza, who has a solid reputation in the business and is the man in charge of what Pacquiao puts in his body, was recently quoted by the Manila Standard in regards to the drug testing demands coming from Mayweather Jr’s camp. Ariza stated: “No matter where they try to look for something, at the end of the day, Mayweather is going to have to get in that ring and he is just going to have to show up.” Ariza went on to add: “All the posturing about Manny getting knocked out or being on steroids… all of that sh!t. He’s going to have to fight. There’s not going to be any excuses.”
For anyone wondering, Pacquiao has never failed a drug test before or tested positive for steroids or any kind of performance enhancing drugs or stimulants. Pacquiao has been subjected to numerous drug tests over the years by the very capable and highly respected Nevada State Athletics Commission and passed every drug test.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. saw off the obdurate challenge of Shane Mosley then renewed his challenge to Filipino star Manny Pacquiao to face him in a lucrative superbout.
Mayweather scored a unanimous points victory over the 38-year-old Mosley in Las Vegas to extend his perfect record to 41 fights, but the talk then turned to a possible fight later this year against Pacquiao.
The pair were due to contest what was predicted to be the richest contest in boxing history, but the match-up never materialized because of a disagreement over dope testing procedures.
Mayweather insisted that he was ready to meet Pacquiao but only on his terms.
“If Manny Pacquiao wants to fight, it’s not hard to find me,” he told reporters.
“If Manny Pacquiao will take the blood and urine tests, we can make the fight happen for all the fans.”The 33-year-old Mayweather dominated the welterweight contest against Mosley but was rocked by a heavy punch in the second round before taking control.
Watched by a multitude of celebrities and film stars, Mayweather pressed hard for a knockout win, but could not put away the battling Mosley, who survived to hear the judges’ verdict despite a pummeling in the later rounds.
Mayweather paid tribute to the courage of his opponent while pleased with his own performance.
“I gave the fans what they wanted to see. They wanted to see me moving, and coming forward and that’s what I did tonight.
“I went toe-to-toe. That’s not my style but I wanted to give them that kind of fight and I knew I could do it.
“They wanted to see me moving, and coming forward and that’s what I did.
“We should have pressed the attack a lot earlier and we could have got the knockout, but Shane Mosley is a tough customer and he is one hell of a fighter.”

After 21 months off, took a dominant victory over Juan Manuel Marquez in September, not to mention a lot of money. Now, in recognition of his good fortune, he’s giving back to less fortunate residents of Las Vegas, through a toy drive and the Thanksgiving holiday.
“The holidays are the most important time to return,” said Mayweather. “No family should have to go hungry on Thanksgiving and that no child should go without a toy at Christmas. I do not think that food and gifts should be a luxury. It is a necessity and through our efforts, we want to this year’s holiday season happier than before for the residents of Las Vegas in need. ”
Beginning this week, the Floyd Mayweather Foundation, in partnership with United States Marine Corps, he started his own toy drive until 15 Toys for Tots collection bins at various locations in the city of Las Vegas (see list of the most below).
The collection will continue through November and end on 11 December. The highlight of the unit will be an event hosted by Mayweather family, friends and guests, each person must bring a toy to donate in order to attend.
The delivery does not stop there. It’s been a week feeding the homeless for the past few months, and will intensify efforts and serve a Thanksgiving meal heated at the same people.

To add to your holiday-related contributions, Mayweather will donate coats to the students of a local school inner-city elementary school. All the 318 students (preschool through fifth grade) will be given a hand.
“I hope to continue our mission to ensure that hungry people to eat, and that children awaken Christmas morning with something to look forward,” said Mayweather. “Through the donation of toys, blankets and food, I know we will make the holidays a little brighter for the needy and that is the best gift of all.”
