Leaked Guantanamo files reveal details

More than 700 leaked secret files on the Guantanamo detainees lay bare the inner workings of America s controversial prison camp in Cuba.

The secret documents revealed that most of the 172 remaining prisoners have been rated as a “high risk” of posing a threat to the United States and its allies if released without adequate rehabilitation and supervision.

The documents are silent about the use of the harsh interrogation tactics at Guantanamo that drew global condemnation. US President Barack Obama pledged two years ago to close the prison but it remains in legal limbo.

Obama administration officials condemned the leaking of the documents but said the material is out of date.

Kelly Osbourne is a Material Girl

Kelly Osbourne, daughter of Ozzy Osbourne has teamed up with Madonna and her daughter, Lola Leon. Kelly is the face of the new campaign for Madonna and Lola’s label, Material Girl. Kelly says she’s pumped about the project and loves the way it turned out.

“It’s such an honor to be a part of this campaign and it was an amazing experience to work with Madonna and Lola. Material Girl is incredible because it’s high fashion but it’s also accessible to anyone who shops at Macy’s.”

Madonna praised Kelly too;

“Kelly represents a true Material Girl. She is edgy, cool and has a unique sense of style that Lola and I love.”

The campaign was shot by photographer Brooke Nipar and was inspired by New York’s East Village during the ‘80’s.

Hisss director Jennifer Lynch disowns the film

Irony cannot get better (read ‘worst’) than this. The recently released Hisss, starring Mallika Sherawat, sank without even creating a hiss at the BO. The gloom of the situation just doesn’t end there, for it’s much more than what meets the eye. David Lynch’s daughter Jennifer Lynch, who was directing the film, left both the project and India before editing the material. Rumors have it that, the ‘end product’ has been very different than the ‘original’. The ‘original’ here refers to the film that Jennifer shot, while the ‘end product’ refers to the film’s co-producer Govind Menon; who later put together the final material of the film.

A visibly upset Jennifer Lynch said that, the film was ‘taken away’ from her in the editing stages itself and that she has no idea what the film looks like (read ‘has shaped up like’). She also added that the film that she perceived and wanted to be made as a love story, eventually took the shape of a ‘horror film’ by the producers, as they did away with the songs.

In spite of all this, Jennifer Lynch plans to be back in India someday. Will she be able to pull off a new leaf is what time will tell. Till then, keep ‘hissing’… we mean… guessing!
