A Disney secretary and her Prince Charming tried to hawk inside information to the highest bidder with letters to hedge funds outlining the Mickey Mouse scheme, the feds said.
Bonnie Hoxie and boyfriend Yonni Sebbag were busted on Wednesday and hit with criminal and civil charges.
Manhattan prosecutors say Hoxie had access to confidential financial documents from her job as secretary to Disney powerhouse Zenia Mucha.
She was hoping that by selling out her employer, she would be able to buy a $700 Stella McCartney purse, court documents show.
The pair hatched their plan two months before Disney was set to unveil its second-quarter financials, sending amateurish emails to hedge funds, officials say.
“Hi, I have access to DISNEY’S (DIS) quarterly earnings report before its release on 5/3/10,” they wrote.
“I am willing to share this information for a fee that we can determine later. I am sorry but I can’t disclose my identity for confidentiality reasons but we can correspond by email if you would like to discuss it
“I count on your discretion as you can count on mine.”
Some of the recipients tipped off FBI agents, who posed as crooked traders and told Hoxie and Sebbag they were interested.
A flurry of compromising emails ensued, as undercover agents tried to suss out exactly what the schemers were offering.
Sebbag, writing under an alias, boasted he knew that “[Disney President] Bob Iger is in serious and advanced negotiations with two private equity firms to sell them the ABC network but no price has been determined yet,” according to court documents.
“How do I know that you are not a fed?” asked the agent posing as a trader.
“I work for Disney, that is all i can tell you,” was the response. “I don’t think we will get caught if we stay discret and careful.”
The FBI taped an April 9 phone conversation with Sebbag in which he promised to cough up inside information four days before Disney publicly released its quarterly earning report.

More about Twice Upon a Christmas:- Find out who’s been naughty and who’s been nice in this spectacular all-new Christmas celebration. Santa Claus joins Mickey, Minnie, and all their pals in an original movie about discovering the true joys of Christmas. Watch the hilarious antics of stubborn old Donald as he tries in vain to resist the joy of the season, and laugh along with Mickey and Pluto as they learn a great lesson about the power of friendship. Now, through the magic of dazzling computer animation, your favorite Disney characters get a wonderful new look, so celebrate the holidays with this irresistible new collection of Christmas stories the whole family is sure to enjoy.
Mickey Mouse and his friends enter the realm of eye-catching computer-generated animation in this five-episode, 68-minute Christmas celebration. The holidays are a time for celebration, but when Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and host of other Disney characters become obsessed with holiday preparations, the frenzy of activity leaves everyone feeling stressed, selfish, and full of regret. A skating contest leads best friends Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck down a path of jealousy and hurt feelings in “Belles on Ice,” and “Christmas Impossible” finds Huey, Dewie, and Louie selfishly scheming to get on Santa’s “good list” at any expense. In “Christmas Maximus,” Goofy’s son Max is mortified by his father’s silly antics and, in “Donald’s Gift,” Donald’s craving for peace and quiet threatens to ruin the whole family’s holiday fun. “Mickey’s Dog-Gone Christmas” finds Mickey so absorbed in planning the perfect Christmas party that he lashes out at Pluto and almost loses a very special friend forever. While the animation style is new, what hasn’t changed is Disney’s commitment to stories with wholesome values: Mickey and the gang remind viewers that the holiday season is not about selfishness, flashy parties, and expensive gifts, but about selflessness and the celebration of family and friends.
