Miley Cyrus explains being religious and supporting gay marriage
TrendPK.com: Miley Cyrus has stood up for her religion and her support of gay marriage, something that allegedly has some people questioning her.
Cyrus recently opened up to explain both matters as others apparently have a problem with her being Christian and in support of same-sex marriage, states E! News. “A lot of people mocked me—they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love,” Cyrus explained to Glamour.com.
Cyrus thinks that it is okay to debate these matters, but that it needs to be handled better: “The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me … Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?”

Miley Cyrus not hiding her affection at lunch with Liam Hemsworth
TrendPK.com: Things are definitely back on between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth as the two were spotted getting really cozy while waiting for a lunch table.
Miley and Liam shared a kiss while outside of Cheesecake Factory in Santa Barbara, California, states Just Jared. The two then spent their day doing a little shopping in the area.
They reportedly picked up a few items at Elisa B. and Armani Exchange.
Miley Cyrus passes Justin Bieber in the Celebrity Bowling Hall of Fame

We are honored to welcome her into the Hall of Fame and grateful for her support of the great sport of bowling.”

Billy Ray Cyrus Drops the Divorce

The Cyrus Family have been in the headlines a lot lately, both together and individually. Especially Billy Ray Cyrus when he spoke out about his divorce and his daughter in his now infamous interview with GQ magazine. He caused a real stir in the media by saying “Hannah Montana” had “destroyed my family”.
Billy Ray has done somewhat of a turnaround by announcing on the talk show, “The View”, that he has dropped the divorce. He had filed for divorce in October 2010 after 17 years of marriage.
“I’ve dropped the divorce. I want to put my family back together… Things are the best they’ve ever been.”
Billy Ray also took the opportunity during the interview to do some damage control for comments he’s previously made about his daughter Miley. During the interview he went on to say;
“I feel like I got my Miley back. I feel like we’re the daddy and daughter we were before Hannah Montana.”
Jessie J named Critics” Choice at BRIT awards

LONDON: British singer/songwriter Jessie J has won the BRITs Critics” Choice award, making it four prizes in four years for female acts.
Previous winners of the prize honoring up-and-coming artists on the British pop scene were Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine and Adele.
“This is epic! It has been a dream since I was a little girl to win a BRIT. I can’t believe it”s happened!” said Jessie, whose real name is Jessica Cornish.
The 22-year-old from Essex has written several songs for established stars including Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera.
Her single “Do It Like a Dude” was released by her Island Records label, part of Universal Music.
The 2011 BRIT awards, Britain’s top pop honors, will take place on February 15 at London”s O2 Arena. Take That and Plan B have been confirmed to perform at the show.
Miley Cyrus”s image hits a new low. Or, is it high?
LOS ANGELES: Home video of singer Miley Cyrus using a bong apparently to smoke the hallucinogenic herb salvia hit the Internet on Friday, capping a year which has seen the teen star throw aside her squeaky clean Disney image.
The video obtained by celebrity website TMZ was said to have been shot days after Cyrus”s 18th birthday in November.
It shows the star of Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” giggling and laughing after smoking from a glass pipe, commonly called a bong. TMZ said sources close to Cyrus told the website that the video was shot by one of Cyrus”s friends, but the substance was not marijuana.
“Is that me tripping!?”, Cyrus exclaims in the video, after using the bong and mistaking another person at the party for her ex-boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth
The herb salvia divinorum has hallucinogenic properties but is not illegal in California. According to a 2007 U.S. survey on drug use and health, about one million people had used it that year.
The singer’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, said on Friday he was saddened at the video, which quickly made headlines around the world.
“Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I”m so sad. There is much beyond my control right now,” Cyrus said in a Twitter posting. Cyrus and his wife Tish announced in October that they were divorcing.
Representatives for Cyrus did not return requests for comment on Friday.
Miley Cyrus has sought this year to distance herself from the “Hannah Montana” character she began portraying in 2006, winning millions of young fans.
She played a rebellious teen in romantic movie “The Last Song”, stepped out publicly with Hemsworth, and made two raunchy pop music videos.
The new image has dismayed parents of some of the younger fans of “Hannah Montana”, whose final episode does not air until the spring of 2011.
The video even caused one betting site, bookmaker, to place odds on what might next be revealed about Cyrus. Examples included whether she might attend rehab, or be dropped by her record label.

Gunman Also Shot at Victim’s Pregnant Wife and Had History of Disputes with Victim at New York Hospital, Police Say
A doctor was charged Monday with fatally shooting a Yale University doctor and firing at the victim’s pregnant wife after a history of confrontations with the victim and other colleagues that led to his dismissal from a New York hospital.
Branford police said 44-year-old Lishan Wang is charged with murder, attempted murder and firearms offenses in the fatal shooting Monday of Vajinder Toor outside his home. Police say Wang, a Chinese citizen from Beijing who was last known to be living in Marietta, Ga., also fired at Toor’s wife, but she was not struck.
Wang is being held on $2 million bond. A message was left with an attorney representing him in a civil lawsuit.
Toor worked at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York before joining Yale. Police are investigating whether Toor and the gunman had a dispute on the job, using information provided by the victim’s wife, said Lt. Geoffrey Morgan.
“We’re following a hypothesis that the victim and the assailant had some sort of negative interaction at a previous employer,” Morgan said, adding that police do not expect to make additional arrests.
Wang and Toor were involved in a confrontation a few years ago at Kingsbrook after Wang left his post at the intensive care unit and was not reachable for a few hours, according to a hospital employee who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing murder investigation. The employee said Toor reprimanded him and that Wang threatened Toor in front of other employees.
