Mohmand: Miscreants blew up primary school

The miscreants blew up a primary school at Mohmand Agency, trendpk.Com reported on Friday.

The miscreants blew up Government Primary School Malik Sherzada on Thursday night. Resultantly, two rooms, verandah including the building got damaged. The number of the schools damaged in the last three years in Mohamand has risen to 70.

Bomb strikes police van in Quetta; 2 dead

QUETTA: A roadside bomb struck a police mobile in Quetta on Wednesday, killing two people and injuring eight others, including two children and police men.

According to initial reports, the bomb was detonated with a time device when two police mobiles were passing from Saryab Road near Balochistan University.

Police confirmed the death toll.

One of the two deceased was driver of the attacked vehicle.

The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, where emergency was declared.

Police and paramilitary frontier constabulary troops cordoned off the area and launched probe into the blast.

In a message, Balochistan’s Chief Minister condemned the attack and directed authorities to arrest the miscreants. SAMAA

Three shot dead in Kohlo, Balochistan

QUETTA/KOHLO: Three people were shot dead and three others hurt in firing by unknown gunmen in Kohlo on Monday.

Gunmen shot dead workers of a private company in Mandha area of Kohlo. Abdul Qadar, Allah Nazar and Karim Khan died on the spot while Akhtar Khan, Ali Shah and an unknown were wounded.

A company truck was also set on fire by the miscreants.

On the other hand, an employee of Assistant Commissioner Mastung was shot dead. The reason of killing is not known. SAMAA

Zardari vows to establish peace in Karachi at any cost

President Asif Ali Zardari has said that peace would be restored in Karachi at any cost. He ordered the Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Provincial Interior Minister (Sindh) Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza to take stern action against the miscreants without any discrimination. He also sought an explanation from Nabeel Gabol on his demand for army deployment in Karachi.
Taking notice of the disturbed situation of Karachi, President Zardari summoned Rehman Malik and Zulfiqar Mirza and ordered them to arrest the culprits responsible for target-killings and to bring them to justice so as to make it sure that no one dares to disturb the peace of the city in future.
President also sought an explanation from Nabeel Gabol on his last nights statement demanding deployment of army personnel for establishing peace in the City of Lights. On the other hand Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has rejected the rumors of army deployment in Karachi.

Karachi: Rehman vows to end targeted killing

Expressing serious concern over the recurrence of targeted killing every 4-5 months in Karachi, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik deplored that the criminals arrested in this regard have never been taken to t ask for lack of evidence.
During a media briefing alongwith Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Monday, the minister said that all the miscreants nabbed during the crackdown named one party or the other to show their affiliation, but when we contact the parties, they out rightly deny links with them.
The DG Rangers and IG Sindh have been directed to take strict action against all those copped criminals disregarding their party affiliations. The minister vowed to eliminate the desperadoes who wanted destabilize the country.
Rehman warned that all the illegal arms holders would be sentenced to 10-year term.
Earlier, a high-level meeting, chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, was held in Karachi to review the law and order situation.
The meeting was being attended by Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, DG Rangers, IG Sindh and other significant officials. The meeting mulled over ways to curb the ongoing targeted killing and firing incidents besides overall security situation of the province.
In the meantime, around 39 people have been killed in three days of unabated targeted killing.
A hand-cuffed body of one Basit Baloch has been found from Malir graveyard, while Asifs body has been found from the limits of Malir Police Station. Another dead body of a 30-year-old Anees was found near Met Department at Gulshan Sikandrabad.
In Lanhdi, three men Asmat Ullah, Shah Muhammad and Niaz got killed in firing by some unidentified motorcyclists; in PECHC two people got injured in firing incident. Some miscreants torched a bus in New Karachi Ayub Goth and in Saddar, some gun-toting men got the shops shut.
Unknown men opened fire at three brothers Qamar, Imran and Rameez who got hurt and died on the way to the hospital.
Security has been stepped up in the city while 61 suspects have been held.

Sattar demands swift action against miscreants

MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that activists were being killed after MQM presented landmark land reforms bill in the National Assembly.
Talking to media in Islamabad, he said that killing of members of MQM proved that the government had failed to establish its writ. He demanded swift action against the miscreants.
Earlier, three bodies were recovered from an abandoned vehicle near Karachi’s Malir Halt area on Thursday morning. The deceased were identified as Khalid Hussain Siddiqui, Shahbaz Ahmed Khan and Sabir Ali who are said to be abducted and then shot dead.

Protests marred Musharrafs political convention

Hundreds of PML-N activists protested against Pervez Musharraf in Manchester and marred the political convention of newly formed APML. Those who raised slogans were expelled out of the gathering. Pervez Musharraf said that the miscreants were paid to create disturbance. He further said that these protests would not deter him from his path.
Protesters gathered in Manchester to express their anguish and anger against him with placards and banners in their hands. They also threw shoes on Musharrafs big sized portraits. They raised slogans against him. President of PML-N England Chapter Zubair Gul said that Pervez Musharraf betrayed the Kashmiris and that he should be trialed for high-treason. He announced that Musharraf would not be spared of strong protests anywhere in UK. After this, some people also protested inside the convention but were soon expelled out of it.
Pervez Musharraf reacted by saying that he would not deter an inch from his path and would continue with his aims. He said that the miscreants were paid for marring the whole convention but he was least bothered. Nawaz Sharif should not react emotionally; its just the start of the game, he added.Earlier, Pervez Musharraf said that he should have remained COAS for five years more. He rejected the notion that he had opined of Kashmiri militants been trained in Pakistan.
In an interview to an Indian channel, Musharraf said that NRO was his blunder, whereas he regretted confrontation and mishandling with the judiciary. He censured terrorist attacks inside India.
Musharraf said he was near to framing an agreement for the solution of Kashmir. He said Manmohan Singh was agreed on a four-point plan to resolve the issue. He further added that he is not ashamed of his remarks for Nawaz Sharif, in which he sarcastically called him a Clear-Headed man.
