The case of the stolen necklace has landed Lindsay Lohan back in court. According to the police report, before trying on the necklace in question, she removed her own necklaces and put them on the counter.
“Ms. Lohan then proceeds to try on numerous rings and three different necklaces including the missing yellow diamond necklace.”
The police report goes onto explain that after shopping for some time. Lohan then put her own necklaces back on and left the store still wearing the missing necklace.
Apparently a similar incident happened at the same shop a few days prior. Lohan had nearly left the store wearing an expensive earring, almost leaving her own even more expensive pair of earrings behind. This could support her claim that it was all a misunderstanding. But the trouble is she didn’t return the necklace to the store upon realizing her ‘mistake’.
Akshay Kumar endorsed Micromax phone loses its ‘bling’

There’s some bad news for those of you who are in love with the Akshay Kumar endorsed Micromax Mobiles. The news is that, Akki will no longer be able to say “It twinkles!” in the ad, while his wifey dearest Twinkle Khanna flashes a ‘Micromax Bling’ phone.
Reason? Well, Delhi High Court has restrained Micromax, from selling or advertising the ‘Bling’ brand as it acceded to a trademark violation filed by Delhi-based mobile phone maker Bling Telecom. The order states that the court has restrained Micromax, including its employees, agents, representatives, or anyone acting on their behalf, from using the trademark ‘Bling’ or any other name confusingly similar till the next date of hearing, February 8, 2011.
The court order (dated October 19, 2010), restrains the said company from displaying the Bling ads on TV and print.
Hopefully, Akshay will cover up for the missing ‘Bling’ with his presence in the commercials.

The incident took place in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir, which has been at the centre of furious demonstrations since June 11 when a 17-year-old student died from a police teargas shell.
Tuesday”s death occurred when security forces opened fire to disperse a demonstration triggered by the disappearance of another protester, a witness said.
The youth went missing Monday evening after freedom fighter clashed with police and paramilitary forces in Srinagar.
Residents said he drowned in a stream during the clash, though no official comment has been issued on the allegation.

Greece starts talks on potential aid
Bonds take beating in the market as investors dump Greek assets
Greece started talks to hammer out details of a potential aid deal on Wednesday but impatient investors dumped Greek assets and the package faced heated resistance at home and abroad.
Struggling to convince markets that Greece can slash its budget deficitand avoid default, the socialist government is racing to raise €10-billion next month,
with markets focusing on an €8.5-billion bond that falls due on May 19.
Greece is still pushing to finance its debt through market issuance but investors are increasingly convinced it will have to tap the euro zone and IMF package.
The markets showed its impatience with the uncertainty about how Greece will finance its debt on Wednesday, driving the yield on the 10-year bond to 8.4 per cent, the highest since at least 1999, on a flattening yield curve, a signal of growing doubt over Greece’s solvency.
The plan also drew fire from workers in Athens and lawmakers in Germany, where voters are deeply opposed to helping repeat chronic offender Greece ahead of an election next month.
Greek Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou started meetings at 0700 GMT with a mission of mid-level advisers from the European Commission, the European Central bank and the International Monetary Fund.

The rig, about 41 miles off the Louisiana coast, is owned and operated by Transocean Ltd. and contracted to British oil major BP PLC. A spokesman for Transocean said most of the 126 people on board were safe. A Coast Guard spokeswoman said 12 were still missing but said reports indicated that all 126 people got off the rig. The rig was still burning and listing.
Four Coast Guard helicopters and an airplane are being used in rescue operations and five Coast Guard cutters are also responding, the Coast Guard said. “We are still in a search and rescue operation,” Transocean spokesman Greg Panagos said.
Billy Nungesser, president of Plaquemines Parish, has said that the missing people were in a lifeboat that drifted away from the rig while rescue workers were helping others.
