Karachi stocks 100 index lowered by 426 points
Karachi, Pakistan:- Karachi stock market witnessed acute bearish run on Monday as benchmark 100 index lowered by 426 points.
The business activities started in negative zone at the start of a new business week as the investors remained cautious and preferred selling amid deteriorating law and order situation in the country. The KSE-100 index closed at 9411 with trade volume of 211.6 million shares. Arif Habib Securities remained volume leader with 30 million shares.

FBR extends Sales Tax-Cum-Federal Excise Return Forms deadline
Islamabad, Pakistan:- Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended deadline to submit monthly Sales Tax-Cum-Federal Excise Return Forms.
According to FBR announcement, taxpayers who pay sales tax and excise duty till October 20 can submit their forms till October 25. FBR had previously extended deadline to submit annual income declaration forms also. FBR had to extend the deadline twice as lesser number of forms were received this year compared to last year.

Latest updates about Bob Moffat Arrest, IBM’s Robert Moffat, aka Bob Moffat, reportedly arrested on conspiracy to commit insider trading. Robert Moffat is IBM’s Senior Vice President and Group Executive, Systems and Technology Group. He was named to that position in 2008 and according to his bio joined IBM in 1978.
Reports state the second complaint today accuses “Danielle Chiesi, Mark Kurland and Robert Moffat — of securities fraud and conspiracy to commit insider trading.â€
Moffat was arrrested today along with Rajiv Goel, Anil Kumar, Danielle Chiesi, and Mark Kurland.
