PM Gilani joins Dunya Operartion Room

Dunya News special transmission titled as Dunya Operation Room: Agay Barho Dunya Apke Sath Hai has been continued to express solidarity with the flood-afflicted people.
Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has also joined the special transmission. In a special interview with Dunya News Director World Affairs Dr. Moeed Pirzada, PM Gilani said that media coverage on the use of aid was diminishing confidence of world community in the Pakistani government.
The special transmission has been attended by high profile people from all the 4 provinces to apprise the viewers of the relief and rescue efforts besides the rehabilitation being carries out in the flood-torn areas across Pakistan.

MQM submits two privilege motions against PML-N

Tussle between MQM and PML-N has taken a new twist as former has submitted two privilege motions against the latter in the National Assembly Secretariat.
Parliamentary leader of MQM Dr. Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi and other members submitted the motions which were signed by 25 members.
Talking to media after submitting the motions, Farooq Sattar said that PML-N leadership hid the facts from the nation and secret meetings with the Army Chief were against the Charter of Democracy (CoD).
The PML-N submitted a privilege motion against MQM chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday.

MQM submits two motions in NA

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has submitted two motions, privilege and adjourning motions against PML-N in the National Assembly (NA) secretariat, said sources on Tuesday.

The motions were submitted by Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi and other members of MQM.

At least 25 National Assembly members signed the motions.

The privilege motion will seek to move the National Assembly against anti-democratic and anti-constitutional acts rendered by PML-N.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) had submitted a privilege motion against the statements issued by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Monday, August 23.

Meanwhile, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) also submitted a privilege motion against the MQM chief in the Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa Assembly.
