Salman Butt and Muhammad Amir’s Appeal In Dubai
On Friday Salman and Muhammad Amir reached Dubai so that they can appeal for their provisional suspensions from the spot-fixing case. They had reached Dubai with their lawyers and the commissioners of the ICC code of conduct along with Michael Beloff.
Salman, Amir and Muhammad Asif were suspended by the ICC after they had been charged with the cases like spot-fixing and now Salman and Amir wanted justice for which they had arrived Dubai where they had a hearing on Saturday and Sunday. But Muhammad Asif withdrew his appeal due to which he didn’t go to Dubai for the hearing.
They were charged with the spot-fixing charge on 2nd of September when the Pakistani team was in England where they were playing their matches against the England but due to some clues they were suspended by the ICC.
In the beginning the ICC wanted that the PCB should take some action against their players but ICC was forced to do this by them. After this the players withdrew from the match and then ICC also gave them the notices and suspended them on the same day.
Now the hearing is concerned only with their provisional suspensions and about the steps taken by the ICC were in a proper manner or not. And whereas the innocence of the players is concerned it will not be discussed in this hearing.
