Talking to media outside Multan Airport, Gilani called upon the people to intimate the police or law enforcement agencies if they suspect any presence of terrorists around their houses or else.

Regarding the drone attacks, the PM maintained that, the drone attacks are proving to be counter-productive and we have asked the US to give us the said technology. The premier said that efforts are on to improve the countrys economy.We will take all the political parties on board before the Council of Economic Coordination meeting, the PM stated. When his attention was drawn towards Shahzain Bugtis arrest and the subsequent situation, Gilani said that he would talk to Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani in this respect. Balochis are patriotic people, we respect them we dont support the imprisonment of any innocent person, the PM said.

Cannot be burdened by tariff hike, FM tells IMF

MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the world now recognizes Pakistan as a nuclear power and that US President Barack Obama has admitted to Pakistan”s right to civil nuclear technology.

Speaking at the Multan Airport, Qureshi said that IMF has been told that the government is not willing to burden its people by increasing the tariff.

Following his participation in the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington DC, Qureshi said that the world has no issues with Pakistan”s security arrangements for its nuclear arsenal.

He said that the meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proved extremely fruitful.

The minister said that he was hopeful that Pakistan will get the next IMF tranche.

However, he maintained that they told IMF they cannot burden the people of Pakistan further.

7ada4d652ces pm India Will have to Resolve Disputes Through Dialogues: PMPakistan News: India and Pakistan will have to resolve all disputed issues including Kashmir, terrorism and water distribution through dialogues, Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said.
Talking to the reporters at Multan Airport on Sunday, Gilani said the suspects held from Sargodha are being grilled, adding that the South Waziristan operation is underway successfully. “We will launch offensive against terrorist wherever necessary,” he added. PM told that a unanimous NFC accord has addressed Balochistan’s reservations. PM vowed not to defend NRO, adding that government would abide by the court decision on it. He said that US is strategic partner of Pakistan. “US had taken Pakistan into confidence on new Afghan Policy,” he maintained.
Showing sorrow on Multan incident, PM announced Rs0.5million for the families of victims. Rs. 0.1 million will be given to the injured, PM said.

7cbbbe79b3ureshi Pakistan Want Meaningful Dialogue With India: FM QureshiPakistan: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday urged India not to have any delusion, adding that Pakistan could not be pressurized and would prioritize its national interests in every issue.
Talking to media at Multan Airport FM Qureshi said Pakistan was facing terror strikes like Mumbai attacks everyday, urging India not to be oblivious of it. He refuted a news story published in an American newspaper claiming that Mullah Umer was present in Karachi. FM said Pakistan wanted meaningful dialogue. “We don’t want opportunity for a photo session, we want some meaningful dialogue.” Qureshi said visit of Director CIA Leon Panetta was a routine trip as both the countries share intelligence information time and again. Foreign Minister said it was decided after oath-taking ceremony of Afghan President Hamid Karzai to conduct an international conference on Afghanistan to outline an action plan keeping the target in view.
