55ba75afb1per KG.jpg LPG price up by Rs14 per kgThe price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been raised by Rs. 14 per kg on Thursday; the domestic cylinder will now cost Rs. 165 more to the consumer.According to marketing companies, after the current price hike the price of LPG in Lahore, Peshawar and Sialkot has reached to Rs. 130 per kg and domestic cylinder is being sold on Rs. 1510 per cylinder.In Karachi, LPG is being sold on Rs. 110 per kg and the domestic cylinder is costing Rs. 1270 per cylinder.In Multan, LPG price has climbed to Rs. 135 per kg; in Quetta, Azad Kashmir, FATA and Muzaffarabad Rs. 160 while in Murree and Kohat Rs. 145 per kg.

Earthquake rattles northern areas

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake rocked northern areas of the country while five girl students got injured in a roof collapse in Shabqadar, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
The epicentre was 280kms from Peshawar towards the north east in the Hindukush range at the Afghan-Tjik border.
The earthquake has been felt in Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla, Peshawar, Mardan, Abbotabad, Murree, Muzaffarabad, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
In Shabqadar, a stampeded ensued the earthquake at Government Girls High School Subhan Khor while 5 girls also wounded after roof of the school caved in.

Earthquake jolts Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 jolted many areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad on Thursday.

According to the Meteorological Department of Pakistan, the tremors started at 8:59am; its center was in the Hindukash Mountains at the Afghan-Tajik border area, which is 280 kilometers from Peshawar towards the north-west.

The earthquake has been felt in Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla, Peshawar, Mardan, Abbotabad, Murree, Muzaffarabad, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The quake caused no damage or casualties, but people ran out of their houses and buildings after feeling the jolts. Trend Pk

ISLAMABAD: An earthquake of 5.3 magnitudes has jolted many parts of Pakistan including Islamabad, Peshawar and Muzaffarabad on Monday morning.

According to details, at about 2:45 am local time earthquake took place mostly in those areas which were devastated by a major earthquake on October 8, 2005.

Tremors were felt in the northern and upper regions of the country, including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Rawal Kot, Taxila, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Peshawar and Hazara Division.

People, harassed by the sudden shocks of earth quake, came out of their houses and started to recite verses of Holy Quran under fear.

After the earthquake, a light rain started to shower in Islamabad which turned local cold weather into further colder. SAMAA
