69d1429a1bk home Detained Two Pakistani Students In UK Back HomeLAHORE: Two more Pakistani students, detained as terror suspects in United Kingdom, have arrived home on Thursday.

The students Rizwan Sharif and Umar Farooq reached Lahore from Manchester by a regular PIA flight, according to sources.

Talking to newsmen at the airport, Omer and Rizwan said they were investigated by hundreds of policemen during his detention but the British authorities failed to prove any charges levelled against him.

Earlier, Abdul Wahab Khan and Shoaib Khan returned to Pakistan last month and before them their colleague Tariq ur Rehman went back in June voluntarily after the British authorities agreed to drop deportation charges.

Last month, the Special Immigration Appeals Commission had refused the bail applications of detained students and set March 10, 2010 as the new date of hearing.

They were among 10 Pakistani students arrested in April in terror swoop in north west England. After three weeks, Police was unable to bring any charges against them and the students were handed over to UK Border Agency for deportation.

The British authorities have already released two students Janas Khan and Sultan Sher but the bail for the rest was denied.

Faced with the prospects of long incarceration till March next year, the students have decided to return home on the condition that the British authorities drop deportation notices.

It is expected that the remaining three students namely Muhammad Ramazan, Ahmed Faraz Khan and Abid Naseer will also leave for Pakistan in a monthÆs month. Ramazan and Faraz are currently lodged in Milton Keynes and Abid at Manchester.
