Egypt wonderful to get married in: Celina Jaitley

Celina Jaitley is ready to take the plunge with her Dubai-based beau Peter Haag. And she says she would love to get married in picturesque Egypt whenever she decides to tie the knot.
So the Celina-Peter wedding is being planned for the year-end in Egypt, for which she is a tourism ambassador. “They want to play host to my wedding. You know Naomi Campbell got married in Egypt. It’d be a wonderful wedding in that beautiful country,” Celina said.
But she is in no hurry.
“I want to give it a year. Right now, I’ve so many endorsements and movies. Peter is not comfortable with the media glare. I guess he will have to get used to it,” the former Miss India said.
Celina and Peter Haag, who is an Austrian by nationality, exchanged rings at a very private ceremony last year.
“There were just my parents… no one else. Yes, Peter and I exchanged rings during Durga Puja. It was an auspicious time and we had my parents’ blessings. We don’t call it an engagement because that term is not auspicious in our family. My last engagement eight years ago didn’t work out. My parents said, ‘Just keep the matter quiet and decide to get married whenever you do’.”
Celina’s brother Vikrant is getting married in March or April. “First he will get married, then me,” she said.
Peter has been working in Dubai for the last nine years in the hotel business and Celina says it was a “quirk of fate” that has united them.
“By some quirk of fate I kept going to Dubai repeatedly for my work. That’s how we kept meeting. And then of course I started visiting Dubai for Peter. If I have the time I will spend it with the man I love. We have a house in Dubai now. Peter doesn’t want to visit India that often,” she revealed.
Celina, who has acted in films like “Golmaal Returns” and “No Entry”, met Peter through her maternal uncle.
“He’s my maama’s (uncle) best friend. My maama lives in Dubai and that’s how I met Peter. We’ve been dating for less than year now. I’m one person who has never gone for random relationships. Peter and I wanted to keep it quiet for as long as we were not sure of where the relationship was heading. I’ve become really superstitious… Now I’m certain Peter is the person,” the actress said.
Naomi Campbell plans Egyptian wedding with billionaire
CAIRO: Vladimir Doronin and Naomi Campbell are currently planning an Egyptian wedding, MSNBC reported Thursday.
A news website for Egypt, stated Thursday that the wedding between the Russian billionaire and the model is scheduled for Dec. 7 and 8. The ceremony will be held inside the Luxor Temple, and the celebrity couple will spend their honeymoon at the Winter Palace hotel in Luxor.
The pair has kept the details of their union hush-hush until now. In April, Doronin revealed that they had chosen a bridesmaid: “I can’t say it took us long to decide who will be bridesmaid. We are good friends with (Russian entrepreneur) Dasha Zhukova, she is a wonderful person and talented designer. So she will be next to Naomi at our wedding.”
Numerous celebrities will come to the XIV century BC temple to see the 40-year-old star of the catwalk and the 47-year-old Russian businessman saying their oaths.

Young and talented British designer Christopher Kane’s upcoming collection was watched by supermodel Naomi Campbell on Monday, who was heard saying British talent should be coming back to London, one of the world’s fashion capitals.
Speaking to another spectator at the show she was heard saying: ”Brilliant getting our designers back, can’t lose any more of them”. Kane is mainly known for his dresses, but this season he wanted to challenge himself further by using florals and reinventing them by giving them a perverse and sexy twist. Using a dark colour palette which was spruced up by the colourful flowers embroidered on the garments, Kane said designing for every season gets even more challenging. But as he gathers momentum and his popularity rises, he stressed his feet are firmly on the ground. As a young designer who showcases in London, Kane said it’s the fact that he doesn’t have access to a huge budget like designers in Milan or Paris which enables his work to be so good. Established British designer Paul Smith displayed an uplifting winter collection in contrast to Kane’s dark and moody tones. The first model stepping on to the catwalk wore a bright yellow top, and other colours included light pinks, lilac and bright red. Smith said this collection was all to do with aristocracy coming together with punk. London Fashion Week comes to a close on Wednesday.

Naomi Campbell to Appear on Russian New Year’s Show

MOSCOW : Naomi Campbell to Appear on Russian New Year’s Show, Supermodel Naomi Campbell has flirted with novel writing and pop singing, but in her unlikeliest career move yet, she will appear Thursday on Russian state television to wish viewers a Happy New Year.
The British model, who has a Russian boyfriend, will appear as a guest on a New Year’s light entertainment variety show on Channel One television.
The all-night show, a fixture of New Year’s Eve celebrations in Russia which last year attracted more than a third of viewers in the country, runs around a speech by President Dmitry Medvedev and the chimes of the Kremlin clocktower.
In the show’s trailer, Campbell stumbles over a simple question: Asked in Russian whether this is her first New Year’s in Russia, she answers in English, “No, this is, yes, no, sorry,” before bursting into laughter.
A spokeswoman for the channel, Svetlana Doronina, would not reveal whether Campbell will speak Russian on the show.
Campbell is shown in a silver sequinned dress, seated next to her boyfriend, Vladislav Doronin, a businessman involved in real estate.
Their relationship was first reported in summer 2008, when British newspapers published photographs of the couple canoodling on a yacht.
The other international guests will include French actor Alain Delon and Greek pop star Demis Roussos, both of whom are popular in Russia.
Campbell has made appearances at charity events in Russia but has generally kept a low profile while visiting the country.
She has previously attempted to move away from modelling by publishing a novel, “Black Swan,” in 1994 and releasing a pop album a year later, both of which were poorly received by critics.
