Hangu: Ex-Minister Ghani-ur-Rehman Assassinated
HANGU, Pakistan News: At least four people including former provincial minister NWFP Ghani-ur-Rehman have been killed in a roadside blast in Hangu. Interior Minister Rehman Malik has strongly condemned the incident and called for report on the incident from I.G. Police NWFP.
According to sources, a bomb was planted on the roadside that was detonated as former provincial minister Ghani-ur-Rehman’s vehicle arrived. The vehicle has been completely destroyed. Attiq-ur-Rehman told that a similar attempt was made on his father earlier also but he survived. Commissioner Kohat Khalid Umer told that the blast was target killing incident.
Ghani-ur-Rehman was politically associated with Pakistan People’s Party- Sherpao.

Karachi Terror Attack a Plot to Trigger Riots: Mushahid Hussain
KARACHI, Pakistan News: Secretary General Muslim League (Q) Mushahid Hussain Sayed has called terror incident in Karachi a conspiracy to trigger ethnic and political riots in the metropolis.
Addressing a press conference along with the leaders of Sunni Tehrik in Karachi Mushahid said the people should raise voice over Karachi tragedy leaving political considerations behind. He said the government should not repeat the mistake committed in the past.
He said the national wealth deposited in Swiss banks and other foreign accounts should be returned back to Pakistan and investigations should be initiated against all plunderers of the national wealth.

PML-N Committed to Eradicate Corruption from Country: Nawaz Sharif
LAHORE, Pakistan News: PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif said that PML-N committed to eradicate corruption from the country. He said that plunderers of national wealth should be held accountable and abolition of the NRO was better for the government.
PML-N party workers’ meeting, he said that cooperation with PPP would only be enhanced on the basis of certain principles. He said that promises of 17th amendment and Charter of Democracy were not fulfilled by the PPP. He said that meeting with Asif Ali Zardari should be result-oriented.
He said that unconstitutional steps could be dangerous for democracy. He said that there was a chance to repeal 17th Amendment during the debate in the Parliament. He said that NRO beneficiaries should be produced before the courts after resigning from their posts. He urged that decision of the Supreme Court should be honored and the government should implement it as soon as possible without waiting the detailed decision.
Earlier, high level meeting of PML-N workers was held at Punjab House. Nawaz Sharif chaired the meeting while Shahbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali, Raja Zafrul Haq and Ahsan Iqbal were also present in the meeting.
