But the world was looking at Traci, 23, in a new light yesterday after The Post exclusively revealed that she is the long-tressed temptress who lured Barber away from his beautiful wife, Ginny — who is eight months pregnant with their twins.

Today Show correspondent and former NFL star Tiki Barber dumped his pregnant wife, Ginny Barber, for former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson, reports say. The football star-turned-”Today” show-correspondent left his wife of 11 years, Ginny, for the 23-year-old blonde, who also worked at 30 Rock, the sources said. Ginny Barber, who is eight month pregnant with twins, found out about the relationship late last year.

“I heard from Ernie that Traci baby-sat for Tiki, and he put in a word for her at the ‘Today’ show,” said the neighbor, who lived next to the Johnson family in upstate Pine Bush. “I said, ‘Wow!’ ” Barber has two sons with Ginny: A.J., 7, and 6-year-old Chason but he moved out of the family’s Upper East Side home late last year after his wife learned of his stunning philandering.

Karzai ”threatened to join Taliban”

KABUL: Afghan President Hamid Karzai threatened over the weekend to quit the political process and join the Taliban if he continued to come under outside pressure to reform, according to several members of parliament.

They said that Karzai made the unusual statement at a closed-door meeting with selected lawmakers – just days after kicking up diplomatic controversy with remarks alleging foreigners were behind fraud in last year”s disputed elections.

Lawmakers dismissed the latest comment as hyperbole, but it will add to the impression that the president – who relies on tens of thousands of US and Nato forces to fight the insurgency and prop up his government – is growing increasingly erratic and unable to exert authority without attacking his foreign backers.

“He said that ”if I come under foreign pressure, I might join the Taliban”,” said Farooq Marenai, who represents the eastern province of Nangarhar.

“He said rebelling would change to resistance,” Marenai said – apparently suggesting that the militant movement would then be redefined as one of resistance against a foreign occupation rather than a rebellion against an elected government.

Marenai said Karzai appeared nervous and repeatedly demanded to know why parliament last week had rejected legal reforms that would have strengthened the president”s authority over the country”s electoral institutions.

Two other lawmakers said Karzai twice raised the threat to join the insurgency.

The lawmakers said Karzai also dismissed concerns over possible damage his comments last week had caused to relations with the US. He told them he had already explained himself in a telephone conversation with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said that reports that Karzai threatened to abandon the political process and join the Taliban insurgency if he continued to receive pressure from Western backers to reform his government were troubling.

“On behalf of the American people, we”re frustrated with the remarks,” Gibbs told reporters.

Haiti schools reopen for 1st time since quake

PORT-AU-PRINCE: The official reopening of schools among the ruins of Haiti”s capital brought unbridled joy Monday to students like 12-year-old Moris Rachelle.

After nearly three months on the streets with nothing to do but help her mother look after two younger brothers, Moris wore white ribbons in her hair as she ran, laughed and hugged friends she had not seen since the Jan. 12 catastrophic earthquake.

“All my friends are here,” she gushed, smiling broadly. “I”m happy they are not under the rubble.”

Registration for the academic year provided a major step toward normalcy for Haiti”s children, and offered the first sense for how many of them have survived.

But Haiti”s hard-hit education system is just beginning to recover.

The yard at Moris” public school in the western Carrefour-Feuilles district of Port-au-Prince remained covered with smashed concrete, glass, torn notebook paper. Parents did not want their children to enter a pair of concrete buildings still standing for fear they might give way from damage or an aftershock.

And there was no sign of the tents promised by the Education Ministry in sight, so the school eventually sent all the students home until next Monday.

Only a few hundred schools are expected to open this week in a country where the quake destroyed some 4,000 schools. Many are waiting for tents to teach under because nobody wants to put children back under concrete roofs.

Some community-led learning centers already opened in homeless camps, but there had been no formal education in the capital until Monday, said Edward Carwardine, a UNICEF spokesman in Port-au-Prince. He said it was impossible to say how many schools reopened Monday.

About 40 percent of schools in the hard-hit southern city of Jacmel have reopened.

At Moris Rachelle”s school, as many as 100 of its roughly 1,000 students died in the quake, including some buried in the rubble of an unfinished, six-story hospital that collapsed onto the yard during afternoon classes.

The only way to know for sure who survived was to write down students” names as they filed in Monday. Student council member Chilet Louis, a volunteer registering a line of arrivals in blue school uniforms, said it was his first time back since he helped pull bodies from the rubble that afternoon.

“It”s good to see life starting again, but I also knew a lot of the kids who died,” said Louis, a 22-year-old high school junior at the public Jean Jacque Dessaline school.

Educators say the regular curriculum will wait while they address the trauma of the disaster.

Administrators took groups of older students aside to talk about the quake. Without any psychologists available, they used a form of group therapy.

One by one, the students stood up and described their experiences of Jan. 12. One girl said she was so startled by the bodies on the streets that she didn”t eat, bathe or sleep for two days. Another said she survived only because she left her neighbor”s house for an errand a moment before it collapsed, killing everyone inside.

The group applauded after each student spoke.

The magnitude-7 quake that killed a government-estimated 230,000 people left the education system to start from scratch. The Education Ministry and all its records were destroyed, and more than 700 teacher and staff were killed along with an estimated 4,000 students.

Schools are expected to open gradually across the quake zone, with the goal of having 700,000 children back in school by the middle of May, said Mohamed Fall, UNICEF”s chief educational official in Haiti. The school year has been extended until August to make up for lost time.

Even before the quake, the system was in disarray. Only half of school-age children were enrolled and the government was unable to support more than a handful of schools, leaving a void filled by for-profit schools with fees that put them beyond the reach of many Haitians.

Many Haitian children leave school to work at a young age. Others are sent by their families to work as servants in more affluent households.

Fall said that as part of the quake recovery, the Haitian government and aid groups are developing strategies to extend education to children who had been excluded.

“We want to build back better,” he said.

For now, he said, the immediate priorities are to clear rubble away to make room for classes, assure parents that students will not be kept anywhere near unstable buildings and ensure a minimum of sanitation for children who are often homeless.

Despite the joy of Moris and her classmates, it was a nerve-racking day for parents facing their first separation from their children since the quake.

Moris” mother, 29-year-old Jerline Ceuid, said Moris could have walked on her own from the campsite outside their collapsed home but she wanted to check on the school. She was startled to see only the two single-story concrete schoolhouses.

“If she went into those buildings, I think my heart would stop beating,” said Ceuid, who added that she has taught her daughter to avoid unstable buildings in case of aftershocks. “There is still danger.”

A bulldozer and frontloader parked outside had cleared a path from the street to the school, but the yard was still covered with rubble, including a pair of dusty children”s shoes.

Dexter Season 4 Episode 10 Preview, Will be forever remembered for introducing us to the Trinity Killer shuffle (who knew that John Lithgow was that nimble?). The enigma that is Arthur “Twinkletoes” Mitchell was further unfolded as we find out the genesis for his ritual of three kills. At the age of 10, he inadvertently caused the death of his sister in the bathtub, which in turn caused his mother to commit suicide by jumping off a building. Sometime after that, his father “died,” as he put it (more like he got pummeled by a hammer as Dexter puts it). Phew, that’s a lot of take in. Is that enough to push a man to a 30 year killing spree? In Trinity’s wacky case, the signs point to yes.

Back in Miami, the investigation is heating up and we’re thrown a curve ball in our presumption that Trinity shot Agent Lundy and Deb. Besides showing off her cool scar, Deb gets an epiphany that her bullet entry and exit paths suggest a level shot (not a downward trail expected from a 6?4? assailant). That leaves us pondering just who the heck pulled the trigger. No theories other than Trinity being the shooter seem sensible. Was it someone truly the height of Masuka? Was it someone kneeling or sitting in a parked car? Was it Anton in a crime of passion? Was it the reporter Christine in a bizarre (and unbelievable) attempt to “create” news? That’s way too large a pill to swallow. But Trinity seems too easy and I’m betting we don’t have all the necessary info yet. The writers always have a bunny in their hat. And I hope it’s good, because the legacy of this season is riding on this one important reveal.

Meanwhile, the rest of the show does its best impersonation of a soap opera. Ok, so I’m exaggerating just a tad, but have your pick at which romantic thread is the most barf-inducing. Will any of these storylines (Batista / Laguerta, Rita / the neighbor, Quinn / Christine) be game-changing or will they fade into nothingness? Of course, the Quinn / Christine relationship has been a major plot driver this season and seems like it will continue to be (Deb granting Christine the interview is going to put someone in danger, whether it be Christine, Deb or Dexter). For the other two hookups, some serious repercussions can drop if they’re ever brought into the light. I’m betting that the Laguerta / Batista escapade will end with them getting caught with one getting fired / reprimanded. Meanwhile, I don’t necessarily believe that the disgruntled Rita will all-out cheat on Dexter, but that she will back away at the last minute. But, if she is caught – will this push Dexter to feelings of jealousy? Is he even capable of feeling jealous?

Oh, and before I forget – where the heck was Harry this week? Is his ghost only allowed to stay in Miami city limits? Dexter’s conscious is probably taking a break after killing the innocent photographer, so Harry is subdued while Dexter focuses on killing Trinity.

There’s only four episodes left. We’re only left to speculate based on the facts so far and what next week’s previews show. Judging by the brief glimpse, we may just have to consider Trinity’s son Jonah as the shooter, who is seemingly disgruntled at how mean his father is (yet another large pill to swallow). Regardless, the shooter has to have some connection back to Trinity otherwise it will cheapen the story of this season. Meanwhile, Rita again finds herself the target of her neighbor’s advances .

The groundwork is laid out for the final stretch and this ship could go in any direction; there’s just too many different options on the table. Buckle your seat belts, because the last 4 episodes are going to be bumpy.
