Gul Panag molested at Delhi Marathon 2010
Delhi has steadily maintained its image as one that is extremely unsafe for women. In between, thanks to the Common Wealth Games, the spotlight shifted to corruption but with the latest Delhi Marathon 2010, its back to its past stature. The victim this time was none other than the actress who is a sports enthusiast, Gul Panag, who has never missed an opportunity to put her fitness regime to test.
On Sunday, 21st November, when Gul Panag participated in Half Marathon held in Delhi, she was groped by the men standing at the starting point. They took advantage of the crowd to feel her up and the actress was obviously quite taken aback by the whole indecent act.
It was a typical women-in-crowded-places syndrome and Gul being the fighter, instead of letting this event disturb her more than required, went ahead with the marathon and completed the run.
Gul says that she has participated in several other marathons and has never experienced something like this before and blames it on the Delhi culture. She feels that compared to Mumbai, something like this is expected in Delhi which is typical of that city.
The offenders on the other hand took advantage of the melee and got away. Gul too realised the futility of filing a complaint as she really cannot recognise the offenders considering the crowd of people. Though she did feel that no matter what the security, certain decorum is expected from participants.
Every Case Cannot be Termed Target-Killing: Rehman Malik
News Trends: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that every case cannot be termed as an incident of target-killing. Until the police sources confirm, no case could be called a case of target-killing.
Talking to the media men outside the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport Karachi, the federal minister sarcastically said that even a girlfriend boyfriend misunderstanding is termed as an incident of target-killing. He said that many culprits involved in the recent killings have been arrested out of whom one of them is involved in the Sher Shah Market incident. He also vowed to take all the offenders to task without any discrimination. The minister briefed the media that security personnel have been deployed in the Sher Shah market and a secret mission has been initiated for establishing peace in the city.
The minister said that he could not meet with the traders of the Sher Shah market due to his busy routine. Responding to a question regarding trendpk.Com team torture incident in Lahore, Rehman Malik condemned the incident and told the media men that IG Police Punjab has been ordered to resolve the issue on priority basis and to look into the matter deeply so as to punish those who were involved in the incident.
Balochistan High Court Orders Registration of Bugti Murder FIR

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Wednesday issued orders to register murder case against the culprits including the former president Pervez Musharraf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and former Chief Minister Balochistan Jaam Yousuf, involved in the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
According to sources, Chief Justice BHC, during the hearing regarding the case of FIR registration of Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case, has issued directives to SHO Dera Bugti police station to lodge FIR against the offenders including former President Musharraf, former PM Shaukat Aziz, former CM Balochistan Jaam Yousuf, and former Home Minister Balochistan Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpaio who had involvement in the murder of Baloch leader Nawab Akber Khan Bugti.
Earlier, for the hearing of the case, BHC served notices on Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz, and other former federal and provincial officers to appear before the court through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Gunbettle In Quetta 4 Killed
QUETTA: At least four persons were gunned down while two sustained critical injuries here in Natha Singh Street on Jinnah Road early on Thursday morning before dawn, Geo news reported.
According to police sources, unknown armed militants opened indiscriminate fire in Natha Singh Street on Jinnah Road here which, resulted in sudden death for two persons, identified as Sahahzad and Naveed, while four critically injured persons were rushed to hospital wherein two wounded, Rauf and Asif, succumbed to injures.
Top police officials arrived on the firing scene shortly after the incident and the a large number of relatives and friends stormed into hospital and staged protest demonstration for the early arrest of the offenders involved into killing, sources added.
