Gas tariff to be increased before Eid
In applications given to OGRA, Sui Northern demanded an increase of Rs 22. 48 per MMBTU, while Sui Southern demanded Rs 22.35 per MMBUT.
The companies are of the view to increase the revenues; the increase in tariff is inevitable. Sui Northern says an additional revenue of Rs 13.65 billion is needed while Sui Northern demanded Rs 0.93 billion.
The companies also demanded the expenditures of elected representatives’ schemes. The OGRA has already increased the gas tariff by 13.55 percent.

LAHORE: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has requested the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to allow a 10-12 percent increase in gas tariff.
According to details, OGRA is scheduled to conduct a hearing on the gas tariff hike’s application of SNGPL on Thursday in Lahore.

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced new prices of petroleum products on late Sunday.
The new petrol price is Rs 72.96 with the increase of Rs 5.97 per litter while with the increase of Rs 4.51 the new price of high speed diesel is Rs 78.33 per litter.
The new price of High Octane is Rs 86.67 with the increase of Rs 7.11 per litter.
The new price of Kerosene Oil per litter is Rs 70.95 with the increase of Rs 5.15 per litter.
During the press conference, the Senior Executive Director Finance Jawad Naseem, said that the reason of the recent increase in the petroleum products was the price hike in international markets.
The orders of the OGRA would be implemented from November 1 (Monday) but almost all the petrol pumps in major cities remained closed by Sunday evening. Trend Pk

KARACHI: Marking companies have raised price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs. 7 per kilogram without getting permission from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), SAMAA reported Tuesday.
With the new hike, prices of domestic LPG cylinder have gone up by Rs. 80 per kilogram and commercial cylinders by Rs. 320.
This was the eighth increase in LPG prices during the last 40 days.
On the other hand, the LPG Dealers Association has rejected the fresh hike, terming it unlawful.
It said that the OGRA was not informed about the increase. SAMAA

Cut in PoL prices likely in July
ISLAMABAD: It has been anticipated that PoL prices will go down by one to four percent in month of July, resulting in cutting Rs.2 and Rs.3 from petrol and diesel prices respectively, Geo news reported.
Sources privy to Oil Marketing Companies told Geo news that price of petroleum products might be deflated by Rs.0.60 to Rs.3 in days to come.
Petroleum products price have gone down in international market, which may bring deflation here.
A summery requesting cut in PoL product prices will be finalized as late as June 30 by OGRA, sources said.

OGRA has announced slight decrease of 1 to 4 percent in petroleum products on Sunday. Petrol declined to Rs 70.67 with a decrease of 64 paisas. In a press conference, ORGA’s senior executive director finance Syed Jawwad Naseem announced slight decrease in petroleum products. According to which, light speed diesel reached at Rs 69.47 with a decrease of 60 paisas, high speed diesel slashed to Rs 69.89 with a decrease of Rs 1.97, kerosene oil decreased to Rs 61.50 with a decline of Rs2.56 and HOBC reached to Rs68.06 with a decrease of 78 paisas. Petrol and HOBC rates have been decreased by one percent each while light and high speed diesel prices have been decreased by three percent each. Kerosene oil has been decreased by 4 percent. New prices have been applied from today.
