‘Housewives of OC’ stars start to bury the hatchet

TrendPK.com: ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ premiered last night, and it seems the women are trying to move forward this year.
Tamra Barney and Gretchen Rossi opened the seventh season by trying to get over their past issues that have carried on for a few seasons now, states People. “I just want to try and get all the negativity out of my life,” Rossi commented on the show.
And it seems Barney is finally able to give Rossi what she has wanted in order to move on: “I was totally at fault. I have to say I apologize from deep in my heart.”
Do you think these two will stay nice?

WESTON, Ohio (June 9, 2010) – – Marcos Ambrose has the perfect NASCAR Sprint Cup Series sponsor on his No. 47 Toyota Camry at Michigan International Speedway because he will definitely need it after racing on dirt tonight at Eldora Speedway in the 2010 Gillette Fusion ProGlide Prelude to the Dream.
“This is something I’ve been waiting on for months,” Ambrose said. “I’m so grateful Tony Stewart invited me for a second year in a row. To be invited is a really big deal because some of the best drivers in the world are racing in the Prelude tonight.”
The Clorox Company returns to JTG Daugherty Racing’s No. 47 Toyota Camry this weekend. Ambrose is proud to carry the prominent cleaning agent on his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry that is used in an estimated eight out of ten American households and sold in more than 100 countries in the world.
“The Clorox brand disinfecting bleach has been around since 1913,” Ambrose said. “For nearly 100 years, Clorox has been used to kill germs in hospitals, child-car centers, schools restaurants, my home and much more. I’m proud to carry their brand on our Toyota this weekend. I’ll definitely be using a lot of their product after running on dirt at Eldora tonight.”
Ambrose boards a plane this afternoon for Ohio to race in the sixth annual Prelude that is Tony Stewart’s brainchild. Tonight, the Australian driver straps into his No. 47 Bush’s Baked Beans/Kingsford/Little Debbie dirt Late Model stock car for his second attempt at bragging rights at the one-half mile clay oval owned by Stewart. Last year, Stewart showed several NASCAR stars and other elite drivers how it’s done on dirt by winning his charity event. This year at the Eldora Speedway the Gillette Prelude to the Dream has a new twist. The drivers will be competing on one of four teams. Each team will represent one of the four hospitals that are recipients of the money. The rankings of the teams will affect how much the charitable donation will be. Like years past a champion will also be crowned, tune into tonight on pay-per-view to see all of the action.

In her bid to be the GOP nominee for California secretary of state, Birther conspiracy theorist Orly Taitz got 368,000 votes — about 26 percent — but lost badly to mainstream Republican Damon Dunn, who got 74 percent.
The only question now is: how long till Taitz claims the election was stolen and initiates years of litigation?
The top of her website currently features an amateurish YouTube video headlined “Interview with senior citizens, who supposedly nominated Damon Dunn, but swear they never did it.”
Even if she accepts the election results as legitimate, Taitz has plenty to keep her busy in the courts. She’s still facing complaints filed with the California bar, and she’s also locked in a battle with a U.S.
attorney in Georgia over an unpaid fine that was imposed on Taitz for making frivolous Birther legal filings.Wonderful. Republicans chose the low road to do battle against Barack Obama and this is the price they pay. They have obstructed government through a campaign of lies, smears and dirty tactics. Republican operatives created the tea party movement which in turn attracted every right-wing nutcase in the country. They have given free license to bigots, homophobes, racists, birthers, religious fanatics and extremists of all sorts to spread their hate and nonsense. They have given a home to demented morons like Orly Taitz.
Here’s hoping Taitz wins the primary and Dems can run her face in a zillion ads with the slogan, ‘GOP – the party of Orly Taitz’.Maldonado — both of whom might have a chance to win in November — had to run with Orly Taitz as secretary of state, who would make her cockamamie issues about Obama’s birth certificate problems at the forefront of her activities?”
“There is no Republican candidate for statewide office that would be willing to have her campaign with them,” says Adam Probolsky, a spokesman for the Orange County Republican Party.

LPGA Golfer Erica Blasberg Found Dead
25-year-old LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg was found dead in her home in Henderson, Nevada Monday. The cause of death was unknown as of this writing. TMZ.com reports that law enforcement is conducting a “death investigation” of the Orange County born, two-time All-American, 2003 NCAA Freshman of the Year and 2003 Pacific-10 Player of the Year from The University of Arizona who turned pro in 2004.
Blasberg’s agent Chase Callahan released this statement:

Brianne Matthews
Softball: Many gather to honor former Mater Dei pitcher Brianne Matthews, An estimated 1,500 people gathered Friday at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex for Brianne Matthews’ memorial service.
Before the service began, hundreds of people waited in line to hug family members of the star softball pitcher for Santa Ana Mater Dei. And high school softball and club teams huddled together, fully clad in their uniforms, consoling one other as they shed tears.
Matthews committed suicide at her Anaheim apartment on Feb. 25. The 16-year-old sophomore had a 4.0 grade-point average and had committed to play at the University of Arizona.
Her coaches and friends recalled her athletic and academic success, her infectious smile and her effervescent laugh.
“Her softball talent was obvious, but her personality was what was most remarkable about her,” said Orange County Batbuster Coach Gary Haning. “My memory of Bri will be of those of a rainbow, a shooting star, a sunrise. It’s not diminished by its brevity; you only wish it could still go on.”
Haning stressed to everyone in attendance that in times of pain and sadness there are always people to talk to and people who care.
“Keep this in mind when you don’t think you can go on,” Haning said. “Look at all of the people here whose life she touched — and this is just a small percentage.”
Bill Jackson, who coached Matthews when she was 11 to 14 on Firecrackers 93, said that he knew Matthews was remarkable the instant he met her. After all, she promised him that she’d throw the ball 65 mph when she turned 12, and she kept her word.
“She was the hardest-working athlete I’ve ever seen,” Jackson said.
Jackson said that he refuses to discuss why Matthews took her life, and encouraged others to follow his example.
“By discussing why, we’re implying that there’s a reason that could be good enough. There isn’t. Bri died of a broken heart. I believe she made a horrible decision in a moment of weakness,” Jackson said.
A Mater Dei softball teammate, Alyssa Yglesias, said the first thing that she noticed about Matthews was her wide smile and loving nature.
Yglesias admitted that she’s not an affectionate person, but said that changed after Matthews chased her around the school and gave her hugs.
“I like affection now,” Yglesias said.
The Mater Dei softball team is devoting this season to their departed teammate.
“Bri is our 10th man,” said Mater Dei pitcher Miranda Tamayo. “Although there’s only nine players on the field, she’s our 10th player on the field with us.”
Matthews’ catcher on the Orange County Batbusters, Shannon Bustillos, choked back tears as she spoke about her close friend.
“A bond between a pitcher and a catcher is like none other,” Bustillos said.
The two girls used to meet every Wednesday to practice, and Matthews would always want to warm up before the warm-up and practice after practice. Source and More
