Kashmir: IAF Chopper Crashes in Jammu and Kashmir, A helicopter of Indian Air Force on Friday crashed and sank in the river Chenab in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is feared that the victims in the crash, said Deputy Commissioner Sharifudeen.
The helicopter of the IAF, which was in a regular outlet, flew low over the Chenab river when it got caught in a fire in a jumper cable and crashed into the water reservoir of the Baglihar hydroelectric power project in Tringel in the district of Doda.

The exact number on board the helicopter is not known as the helicopter has plunged into the water body.
A rescue operation was launched by the army and the police said.
IAF carries out regular raids on the landlocked mountainous area Nawapachi for transporting rations, weapons and ammunition for the troops stationed there.
