US fully trusts Pakistan Government: State Department

The US says that Pakistan and America have a common cause of the war against terrorists and militancy, adding that US government fully trusts Pakistan.
The Spokesperson of the US State Department, Ian Kelly told reporters in a press briefing that US was supporting Pakistani government in Waziristan Operation because operations against militancy in Pakistan and Afghanistan are part of a same process. Kelly maintained that he didn’t know anything about Pakistan’s agreement of sparing two militant groups in the operation. “US trusts Pakistan’s operation against militancy,” the spokesperson added. He termed the Waziristan and Swat Operations were interconnected saying that extremely difficult area made the operation very tough. On a question of military take over in Pakistan once again Kelly replied that US had confidence in democratic government of Pakistan and it had progressed as a democracy.
Kelly elaborated that US wasn’t asking Pakistan to fight in Afghanistan with its forces but it was offering Pakistan cooperation to eliminate terrorists on its soil. “US is observing for the last few months that Pakistan is determined to eliminate militants,” the spokesperson said.
