35756982f25x139.jpg PCB Omitted Senior Players Name From Proposed Central Contract ListAccording to reports PCB is working to find new talent from Pakistan cricket. PCB has omitted the names of senior players from the proposed central contract list. The names of Mohammad Yousuf, Shoaib Malik, Danish Kaneria and Rana Naved are omitted from the 30 players list who are proposed to award central contract.

There is also some information that the list has been sent to PCB’s integrity committee. The integrity committee now examines the list and then decides about the central contract.

While talking about the reasons of the players not included in the list there are various reasons for it. Malik and Kaneria have not been cleared from PCB integrity committee. While Rana Naveed and Muhammad Yusuf’s exclusion is still not cleared.

Now the integrity committee will forward its recommendations to the chairman of PCB Ijaz Butt and then Ijaz Butt will decide about it. According to reports the two players has been asked to submit the relevant papers to PCB integrity committee. The final decision will be made after they filed the paper demanded by committee.

Mohsin Hassan Khan is chief selector of PCB and he want to ensure to chose the best team comprising of young players. He also wants to provide chances to players from domestic set up.

9567a5b4c25x169.jpg Zulqarnain Threaten To Suicide After His Family Stopped At AirportFormer Pakistani wicket keeper Zulqarnain has threatened to suicide if his family will be forced to stay away from him. He is currently in UK and has applied for asylum. He said that he has life threaten in Pakistan and wants his family to stay with him in UK.

Zulqarnain’s wife Shazia and his two daughters were stopped from boarding at Lahore airport. The officials told them to contact British High Commission in Islamabad and PCB. His wife said that they have no right to stop them as they have valid visa with them.

She added that she wants to see her husband and her daughters are missing their father and they want to be with him in UK. In recent past the relations between Zulqarnain and PCB was not good and he threaten to sue PCB. PCB lawyer said that Zulqarnain should come Pakistan first and have to answer all the questions of PCB.

FIA authorities has took the passport of Shazia and said that they have orders from British Council not to allow them travel to UK. Shazia said that now they will contact PCB and British Council on Monday and came to know the original situation. The matter is getting complex after Zulqarnain threaten to suicide.

He is currently suspended by ICC so he is not allowed to play with any cricket club. He is also facing restriction to play any cricket or practice secession with Pakistan team.

PCB has replied the concern of ICC about the cricket match that Muhammad Amir played. PCB said that the match was not official match and it is not covered under ICC’s code of conduct. They also stressed that regional bodies should take care of such matters.

It is also cleared that in the match there was not representation of any official of PCB on that venue. PCB added that he was not in the list of team in which he bowled. They also said that he bowled few over and didn’t stay on the field for long time.

It is also ensured by PCB that they have directed the legal councils of all regions to strictly comply with ICC’s code of conduct. The issue was raised after the fast bowler was found playing in the game at Rawalpindi. ICC asked PCB to explain the matter as suspended player is not allowed to play any kind of cricket. PCB has replied ICC that the game was not official game.

In the FTP Pakistan are left to play with limited countries and there is not much cricket for Pakistan against countries like India. In the FTP Pakistan has to tour West Indies for full tour and this will be first tour of Pakistan in six years. After that tour Pakistan will visit Zimbabwe to play series.

After foreign tour Pakistan will end the year by playing the home series against Sri Lanka and England. These series will be interesting. As there is no cricket in Pakistan so the series will be held at neutral venue. The venue for the series is yet to decide. The PCB’s chief operating officer Subhan Ahmed said that there is still gap in Pakistan tour program from now to 2012 and there is a still chance of Indian series to fit in it.

Subhan Ahmed said that they are negotiating with different cricket boards to get international cricket back in Pakistan. He said that security assurance is the main issue and the back of international cricket in Pakistan depends upon the security situation of Pakistan. The negotiations are on FTP program are going on between different board and it is hope that there will be some positive results of it.

PCB Waiting For IPL Response

So far there is no announcement made from IPL organizers about the inclusion of Pakistani players in the IPL. The auction of 416 players will be held in January but there is no Pakistani player in the list of 416 players.

PCB want their players in IPL they said that they have talked with IPL official about the contract with Pakistani players but so far there is no response from them. PCB is still waiting for reply from them. They also said that no player or franchise has approach them for permission relating to player inclusion in the league.

In 2008 edition of IPL there were many Pakistani players in IPL and Shohail Tanveer was the most wickets taking bowler in that year. In the next year players were waiting for the permission fro Pakistani government but due to security threat permission was not granted by Pakistan.

Mohammad Arfan 7 feet Pakistan bowler was having links with KolKata Knight Riders but no progress in his case too. Earlier it was announce that 2011 season of IPL will not include any player in it. PCB wait for reply is of no use as there will be no Pakistani player in IPL 2011 edition.

PCB Issued a Dead Line To Malik and Akmal

Pakistan Cricket Board has applied for increasing the deadline for announcement of 30 men preliminary squad from ICC and ICC had extended the date announcement of Squad. Pakistan team is in New Zealand and they will start their series with T-20 matches.

It is hopped that it will be announce together with world cup 30 men squad. The team selected for NZ tour didn’t include the names of Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik in it.

Both played and performed well in domestic cricket and the decision was quite strange from PCB. Both players protested against the decision. PCB has asked both players to submit their Assets details to PCB before 30th December. They will have to submit all assets and bank accounts detail to PCB for considering them in selection.

There were doubts that may be it was ICC’s instruction not to include these players in squad. Now there is a chance for both players to consider for selection. Kamran was cleared by ICC from investigation against him for some world cup T-20 matches. He was informed by letter that he is clear for selection.

After winning the Asian games final, women cricket team is appreciated a lot by PCB. They have now offered them a central contract that was demanded by them since long. Pakistan women team had bead Bangladesh team to win the final of Asia cup in china last month and won the gold medal for Pakistan.

The contracts offered by PCB will starts from 1st January and they will consist of four categories. 20 contracts will be offered for the first time for 1 year. Pakistan women team captain Sana Mir has appreciated the central contract offered by PCB and said that it is a positive move for the betterment of cricket. So far prize has been announced for these contracts.

Sana Mir added that she is happy that at last {CB has acknowledged that women cricket is also professional cricket. She also said that team is determine to play well and to get more achievements for Pakistan.

Women cricket is under PCB control since 200 and after 5 year they are awarded with central contract. In 2001 men team got central contract. There are almost 600 women cricketers in Pakistan and only 20 contracts will be awarded. After getting central contracts players will perform well and they will now properly focus on cricket.

Pakistan Cricket Board was not able to meet the dead line of ICC for announcement of preliminary squad for the world cup. ICC after reviewing the application of PCB had extended the dead line for announcement of preliminary squad. Now PCB has dead line of 5th December to announce the squad for the world cup.

The reason for the delay was that the players were not getting clearance from PCB. Now PCB has asked players to submit their replies to the integrity committee of PCB. Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and Danish Kaneria were three players who didn’t get clearance from PCB. Now these players will submit their replies to committee.

PCB didn’t select these three players for the NZ tour and also not announce any reason for this. According to estimates their might be some instruction from ICC for not including the players in the squad. PCB didn’t announce the ODI team for the tour and it is expected that after clearance all three players will get their place in the squad.

Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik were not happy after the decision of not including them in the team. They demanded that PCB should tell them the reason for not selecting them even after they performed well in the Domestic.

ICC Extended Deadline For PCB For Preliminary Squad

There are some senior players who are not able to get PCB clearance. After the meeting it was stated in the statement issued by PCB that preliminary team will be announce on some later dates.

There is some news that PCB has asked ICC for the clearance of some experience players and sources said that there was debate in the meeting regarding the inclusion of these players in the team. PCB also applied for extension in the date of announcement of 30 men squad.

After reviewing the application of PCB it was decided that the deadline for the preliminary 30 players has been extended and now 5th December is the new deadline for PCB for announcement of 30 men squad.

Three Pakistani players Salman Butt, M Aamir and M Asif are suspended by ICC and PCB also asked for these three players. Other senior batsmen are also not getting clearance from PCB and there are some reports that the delay in announcement of ODI squad for New Zealand tour might be reasoned for not getting clearance from ICC.

World Cup Squad PCB is waiting for ICC clearance

Pakistan Cricket Board has delayed the announcement of 30 player’s primary squad for ICC world cup 2011. The integrity meeting of Pakistan cricket board was held on Wednesday, 15 September under the leadership of chairman PCB, Ijaz Butt. All the members of the governing body agreed to include former captain Shoaib Malik and wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal for the world cup squad. Before this meeting these news were rounding in the media that may be these two star players will be not the part of the squad for the mega event. it is to be noted that ICC told about their reservations about Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and the leg spinner Danish Kaneria after the match fixing and spot fixing scandals  All three players was also participated in this meeting in which the PCB officials asked different sort of questions from the players. PCB also asked for the complete details for their total property and income. After the meeting former captain and the wicket keeper batsman looked very satisfied. PCB asked for the permission to make these players as a part of the team. The ICC will respond within three to four days and PCB is now waiting for the ICC’s decision. Due to this PCB cannot announce the names of 30 possible players for the Mega event.

Before this the captain of Pakistan cricket team Shahid Afridi has also said that Shoaib Malik, and Kamran Akmal are the most senior and very experienced players and they should be the part of team in the New Zealand tour as well as in the biggest event of cricket. It is to be remember that ICC has already suspend three top players of Pakistan.

Left arm Pacer Muhammad Aamir, fast blower Muhammad Asif and the former test captain Sulman Butt and they will be not a part of the team for the World Cup. In the absence of these three players Pakistani team became already very week. As the captain Shahid Afridi, Coach Intakhab Alam and former players of Pakistan accepted that Pakistani cricket team is not fully prepared for the mega event as compared to other big teams.

In the current situation it is necessary that ICC should give a transparent and quick decision about these two players. Both of these players are valuable for the team and if these players will be the part of the team Pakistan will come in a stable position.
