Looks like Jim Carrey has passed the entertainment business on to his daughter based off the performance that she delivered on America Idol last night. Jane will be making it to Hollywood because the judges felt as though she has potential and Jennifer Lopez only had one issue which was that she needs to connect with the audience more.
Last night there were a lot of different performers who were trying out but if Jane is anything like her father we can imagine that she was the one who stood out the most. Fans are patiently waiting until Wednesday night so they can find out what else they have to look forward to when American Idol returns.
Update on the rest of the Idol members:
As we already discussed Jane Carrey is making a trip to Hollywood…Tracey Morgan is in the hospital…Katy Perry is no longer a follower of Russell Brand on Twitter…and there are still loads of people who can’t hold a tune trying out during the auditions. Basically, nothing that is not considered to be typical in the world of American Idol. Stay tuned to see what else is going to take place on this show.

India Pakistan Series Will Held In The End Of This Year: Ijaz Butt
Chairman of Pakistan cricket board Ijaz Butt has said that the positive statement from Indian Foreign Secretary about India Pakistan series is pleasurable. We are about to write the letter to government about the preparation of holding the series matches. Hopefully the cricket lovers will enjoy the series between the two traditional rivals in the end of this year. If it would difficult to play in the home ground Pakistan is ready to play at the neutral venue. While talking to media he said that the decision, of holding series with Pakistan, from Indian side is a positive step and Pakistan appreciates India for this step. In the meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the President of ICC Sharad Pawar and Head of BCCI Shashank Manohar were also present. Manmohan Singh gave instructions about the holding of series between two countries.
Players Will Give Good Performance In India Pakistan Series.
About the performance of Abd-ur-Razzaq and Kamran Akmal in World Cup, he said that both players presented very bad game in World Cup, the cricket of both players is over now so they should quit the game. He further said that it depends upon them that they get position in the team again by proving themselves capable of playing international cricket by giving good performance in domestic cricket. The trend of emptying the place for new players is not there in our country. Senior players do not decide something about quiting their career the cricket board has to decide something about them. This is the issue due to which the board is being criticized. If Shahid Afridi would not have played well, then he too would not be included in the team any more. But he has proved his abilities in World Cup by taking 21 wickets. Misbah-ul-Haq too has given good performance in World Cup so he must not be criticized. Hopefully players will give good performance in India Pakistan series.

China paper blasts Middle East protest movements

BEIJING: A Chinese Communist Party-run newspaper on Saturday attacked anti-government protest movements in the Middle East and dismissed the possibility of something similar happening in China.
Such movements have brought nothing but chaos and misery to their countries’ citizens and are engineered by a small number of people using the Internet to organize illegal meetings, the Beijing Daily, published by the city’s party committee, said in a front-page editorial.
“The vast majority of the people are strongly dissatisfied (with the protests), so the performance by the minority becomes a self-delusional ruckus,” the newspaper said.
The editorial appeared amid anonymous calls posted on the Internet for Middle East-inspired protests in dozens of Chinese cities the past two Sunday afternoons.
While drawing few outright demonstrators, the appeals have deeply unnerved authorities constantly on guard for any sign of challenges to Communist rule. Police and security agents shooed away onlookers and assaulted and detained journalists who turned up at the designated protest sites in Beijing and Shanghai.
Foreign reporters have been repeatedly warned to stay away from the sites this weekend and threatened with unspecified consequences if they disobey.
China’s censors have carefully shaped local coverage of the protests in the Middle East to discourage Chinese citizens from drawing inspiration from them. State media emphasize the protests’ negative effects on the societies and economies of the countries involved and give prominent coverage to the woes of Chinese workers evacuated from Libya and elsewhere.
In its editorial, the Beijing Daily attempted to draw a sharp distinction between China and the Middle Eastern countries roiled by unrest, where disdain for long-serving autocratic rulers has frequently been fueled by high unemployment and economic woes.
Chinese people, it said, support their nation’s political stability, economic development, and favorable government policies. Those looking to create or discover news of Middle East-style protests in China will come up empty, it said.
“However, we must clearly recognize that there are always people inside and outside the country with ulterior motives who want to seize on the problems we have encountered over the course of development in order to incite unrest,” the newspaper said. AGENCIES

Christina Aguilera has spoken out about her performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Sundays Super Bowl in Arlington, Texas. She repeated a line and also fumbled a few other words of the Anthem. Christina has made a statement to the Associated Press.
“I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place,” Christina also said in her statement “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of it’s sic anthem still came through.”
Overall, it was a spectacular evening’s entertainment and the much anticipated break time commercials didn’t disappoint either. A commercial for Best Buy featured the unlikely pairing of Justin Bieber and Ozzy Osbourne. But let’s not forget what the night really was all about. This year the Super Bowl was won by the Green Bay Packers.

BRASILIA: She has been rarely seen on stage in recent years but Amy Winehouse took to the mic in South America last night to do what she does best.
The 27-year-old singer was looking healthier than ever as she took to the stage for the performance in Brazil.
Dressed in a pink and white gingham dress which a dipping neckline, Amy wore her hair in a ponytail and not her trademark bee-hive, appearing fresh faced with her signature liquid eyeliner in place.
The Back to Black singer belted out a number of tunes from her back collection and performed a number of covers at the Summer Soul Festival in Florianopolis.
But after a long break from performing the set did seem to take its toll on Amy, who had to take a moment to wipe the sweat from her nose, and interrupted a song to have a sip of water.

People reports this morning that Portman and choreographer Benjamin Millepied “are engaged and expecting their first child,” which will be delivered in 2011. The couple met while working on “Swan.” It will be the 29-year-old actress’s first child.
Congratulations to Millepied and Portman, who truly is having a magnificent hot streak both personally and professionally.
