Johnny Depp and George Lucas were amongst the guests. The ceremony was performed by Mayor Leonardo Chiruzzi , he said afterwards;
“Everything went well,” “It was simple, calm, in the garden.”
The couple has been together many years and they have two young daughters together; Romy, who is four and little one year old Cosima.
8 of 33 Chile miners rescued
The first eight of the 33 miners trapped deep underground for more than two months in northern Chile are rescued.
Florencio Avalos was lifted up over 600 metres in a one man capsule where he was greeted by his family.Avalos was greeted on the surface by his wife and young son, and was hugged by Chilean President Sebastian Pinera. Next to emerge was Mario Sepulveda.
The men have spent 68 days in the hot, humid bowels of a gold and copper mine in Chile’s northern Atacama desert after an August 5 collapse. They now face a claustrophobic journey to the surface in the specially-made steel capsule, equipped with oxygen masks and escape hatches in case they get stuck. Chilean President Sebastian Pinera patted the Phoenix 2 capsule before it descended into a narrow shaft on a test run towards the trapped miners. A day earlier rescue workers successfully tested the capsule, named after the mythical bird that rose from the ashes, after reinforcing part of the narrow escape shaft with metal casing to prevent rocks falling and blocking the exit. Engineers said the final stage of the rescue still had its risks but that the capsule was handling well in the shaft, and they expected a smooth extraction. The miners will be hoisted out one at a time in a two-day operation.

Chile: Last test being held to rescue the trapped miners
The first of 33 trapped miners will be pulled to safety in a capsule barely wider than a man’s shoulders on Tuesday night as a two-month ordeal deep inside a Chilean mine draws to an end.

This summer we’ll have everything we can possibly want to know about LeBron James and his NBA-Free Agency. It could even take on “Brett Favre Proportions.” Alan Hahn of NY Newsday gives us a look at some of the goings-on.
“For Donnie Walsh, the mission is obvious: Get Amar’e Stoudemire and you get LeBron James.
Of course, it isn’t quite that simple. First of all, with James’ situation so unpredictable – will he stay in Cleveland, will he go to Chicago, will he choose New York? – it is believed that Stoudemire has his mind set on joining Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat.
A person with knowledge of the situation said Wade already has started making his recruiting pitch to Stoudemire, who is still playing as the Phoenix Suns face the Lakers in the Western Conference finals. NBA rules forbid teams from contacting players under contract with other teams, but players are allowed to talk to each other whenever they want.
So right now, if Stoudemire is thinking about leaving Phoenix, the advantage goes to Miami.
Chris Bosh is the other option as a high-end big, but remember James lobbied hard for the Cavaliers to acquire Stoudemire at the trade deadline. The two discussed it during All-Star weekend in February. With that in mind, if Stoudemire does test free agency, the Knicks have just enough salary-cap space – albeit barely – to deliver Stoudemire to James in New York.

UFC 114 Results: Yes, first the answer to who won Rashad vs Rampage fight: Well, Rashad Evans got the last word as he defeated Quinton Jackson in a unanimous decision at UFC 114 main event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas yesterday.
So in short Rashad Evans vs Rampage Jackson results in Evans dominating fight, using speed to defeat Jackson.
Evans followed a well-thought strategy and his game plan was anchored in speed, takedowns and superior work in the clinch. The judges scored it 30-27,
29-28 and 30-27 for Evans. With this win, the American mixed martial arts (MMA),emerged as the top contender for UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
The American MMA started the fight in dominating style, sending Quinton “Rampage” Jackson reeling backward with a right hand in the opening exchange. He wasted no time in moving to the clinch and started whittling away at Jackson’s resolve. Evans scored with a takedown with 2 minutes, 15 seconds left in Round 1. The start charged up Evans and it looked like he would easily win one of the most emotionally charged grudge matches in UFC history.

Thousands in Phoenix protest Arizona”s immigration law
May 30, 2010 by Trend PK

MEXICO CITY: Thousands of people from all over the US have marched on the Arizona state capital to protest at the state”s tough new crackdown on illegal immigration.
Marchers carrying signs, banners and flags from the United States and Mexico filled a five-mile stretch of central Phoenix on Saturday. Dozens of police officers lined the route and helicopters hovered overhead.
Police would not estimate the size of the crowd, but it appeared at least 10,000 to 20,000, braved temperatures forecast to reach 95 degrees Fahrenheit by mid-afternoon. Organisers had said they expected the demonstration to bring as many as 50,000 people.
The new law requires police conducting traffic stops or questioning people about possible offences to ask them about their immigration status if there is “reasonable suspicion” that they are in the country illegally.
Critics of the law, set to take effect on July 29, say it unfairly targets Hispanics and could lead to racial profiling, but supporters say Arizona is trying to enforce immigration laws because the federal government has failed to do so.
About 300 people also rallied at the Texas Capitol in Austin, and another 300 people protested at the US Embassy in Mexico City demanding legalisation for undocumented Mexican workers in the US.
Some marchers chanted “si se puede,” a phrase coined by Hispanic civil rights leader Cesar Chavez that roughly means “yes we can”. Others took aim at President Barack Obama, demanding that he prioritise comprehensive immigration reform that would create a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants now in the country.
Some opponents of the law have encouraged people to cancel conventions in the state and avoid doing business with Arizona-based companies, hoping the economic pressure forces a repeal.
But supporters of Arizona”s law organised a rally of their own at a baseball stadium in suburban Tempe, encouraging like-minded Americans to “buycott” Arizona by planning holidays in the state.
“Arizona, we feel, is America”s Alamo in the fight against illegal and dangerous entry into the United States,” said Gina Loudon of St Louis, organising the “buycott”. “Our border guards and all of Arizona law enforcement are the undermanned, under-gunned, taxed-to-the-limit frontline defenders trying to hold back the invasion.”
