BRUSSELS: Iran wants to discuss specific dates for talks with six major powers on its nuclear programme after a European Union offer to meet in Vienna in mid-November, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Friday.
“As you are fully aware recently I announced that October or November from our point of view is a good time to restart talks between Iran and the 5+1 (major powers),” Mottaki told reporters during a visit to Brussels, one day after the EU made its offer.
“It is good news that authorities here are following the matter. This is the way to coordinate some specific, fixed date for starting talks.” AGENCIES

I have only two words to amply describe what this whole cluster [insert expletive that begins with the letter "F"] on conference realignment in college football is doing to me physically: Linda Blair.
Just old enough to appreciate the 1973 classic film The Exorcist , I feel as if this whole saga has consumed me, sadly enough to the point where my head is on the verge of recklessly spinning independent of my body, with only my shoulders to serve as an axis and keep it from flying completely off.
Extreme, I know.
But considering my alma mater (Missouri) has unjustly earned the title of Public Enemy No. 1 in all of this, and somehow still finds itself in the lurch at this point, the natural drama and mood swings that accompany a story of this magnitude and effect are exponentially amplified.
Over the past week or so, rumors, speculation, and “John Doe” sources have dominated. All of a sudden, everyone is associated with someone in the know, and you need only make a trip to your local Carl’s Jr. to get the latest scoop, where the 18-year-old zit-faced fry guy will take time to inform you that “some dude with knowledge” of the Big Ten’s plans says the conference is now considering extending an invitation to Florida International before the SEC does

US government aerospace agencies have achieved the world’s first hypersonic scramjet flight using hydrocarbon fuel. The test did not go perfectly, but further flights will follow; organisers said they were “ecstatic” with progress thus far.
The X-51A was carried aloft under the left wing of an Air Force Flight Test Center B-52H Stratofortress that took off from Edwards Air Force Base. It was released while flying at approximately 50,000 feet over the Point Mugu Naval Air Warfare Center Sea Range. Four seconds later, a solid rocket booster from a U.S. Army tactical missile accelerated the X-51A to about Mach 4.5 before it and a connecting interstage were jettisoned. 
The X-51A’s engine ignited on a mix of ethylene and JP-7 jet fuel. After a short period, the X-51A ran exclusively on JP-7 jet fuel. The flight reached an altitude of about 70,000 feet and an approximate speed of Mach 5.
Onboard sensors transmitted data to both an airborne U.S. Navy P-3 Orion and to ground systems at Point Mugu, Edwards, and Vandenberg Air Force Base before the X-51A was terminated. The team will review the data from today’s test before scheduling additional flights with the three remaining test vehicles.
The unmanned aerial vehicle was released from a U.S. Air Force B-52H bomber off the southern California coast around 10 a.m. today. It flew autonomously for more than 200 seconds, powered by its Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne supersonic combustion ramjet (scramjet) motor, as it transmitted telemetry data to ground stations. Something then occurred that caused the vehicle to lose acceleration. At that point, the X-51A was terminated as planned.
The X-51A “Waverider” craft was dropped from a modified B-52 bomber test mothership 50,000 feet above Point Mugu sea firing range off the California coast at about 6pm last night UK time (10am local). Four seconds later a rocket booster taken from a tactical missile fired, accelerating the Waverider to Mach 4.5 before being jettisoned. The airframe doesn’t work like a normal aeroplane: it actually surfs on the sonic shockwaves trailing back from its nose, hence its name.

Who’s it going to be? Who’s going to win Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains? I think we can count Colby out at this point. Dude’s not showing up. I still don’t think Russell will win or even be final 3 based on his actions at the last reunion when he lost. I’m thinking the final three might be all female. I can see either of the three winning, but don’t personally see Sandra as deserving, as she never did what she was aiming to do. She should have used her Idol to get rid of Russell. She wasted it.
Parvati has ruled the entire game, and Jerri has finally learned how to play a good social game in her third attempt.
Crystal Bowersox health, American Idol Lily Scott
Crystal Bowersox has made it to the American Idol Top 12 finalists and despite a health scare last week when she had to go to the hospital due to complications with her diabetes, she is doing well and has quickly become a fan favorite.
Crystal Bowersox just says that she’s flattered to be considered a front-runner but that it’s still anyone’s guess who wins at this point.

The only “lift” Woods got was … yeah, never mind.
