Emergency crews remain on scene of a fatal motorcycle accident on southbound Interstate 880 north of Montague Expressway in Milpitas. The collision was reported at 1:23 p.m.
A Sig Alert was issued at 1:43 p.m., and all southbound lanes were closed until about 2:30. Traffic was being diverted onto Montague Expressway.
One person has died and another person has major injuries, according to CHP radio transmissions. Two ambulances were summoned.
About 15 motorcyclists were also on scene, according to the CHP dispatch log.
The rider was part of a Swedish tour group of motorcycle riders, according to CHP transmissions.
Drivers were advised to take state Route 237 to Interstate 680 or Highway 101 to avoid the I-880 closur Sigalerts are issued by the California Highway Patrol and are posted on their website, broadcast on radio and television stations throughout California. Motorists are signaled via electronic message signs on the freeways.

All the fighters on tomorrow night’s UFC 114 fight card have now successfully weighed in.
Of course the major buzz today was for the headline fighters and in the battle for the public’s affections Rampage Jackson was the clear winner as he was cheered by the crowd, while Rashad Evans was mainly booed.
After the seriousness of his demeanor in the past few days Rampage showed a glimpse of his fun loving side by stripping down to a pair of Superman briefs before stepping on the scales and weighing it at 205lbs on the dot.
Then came the staredown, which didn’t get physical despite the tension in the air, followed by a brief interview in which Rashad appeared a little taken aback by the crowds negative reaction to him, while Rampage seemed to enjoy the spotlight and shouted his now familiar quote from the Primetime show – “he’s dead!”Jesse Forbes vs. Ryan Jensen
Both weighed in at the middleweight limit.
Should be a fun prelim fight.
Joe Brammer vs. Aaron Riley
Both of these lightweights weighed in at the limit.
This should be another good fight.
Aaron Riley will look to rebound from a one sided loss to Ross Pearson last November.
Cyrill Diabate vs. Luiz Cane
Both weighed in at the light-heavyweight limit of 205 lbs.
Luiz Cane will be looking to rebound from a first round KO loss at the hands of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, who is fighting Jason Brilz on this card.
Waylon Lowe weighed in at 155.
His opponent, Dan Lauzon, also weighed in at 155.
Should be a good fight.
Efrain Escudero vs. Tyson Griffin
Efrain Escudero, winner of the TUF Season Eight 155 tourney, weighed in at 156 lbs.
He is fresh off of his first career loss to Evan Dunham, who is fighting Tyson Griffin at UFC 115.
A mistake, Escudero is actually fighting Lauzon.
Waylon Lowe vs. Melvin Guillard

Amir Sadollah vs. Don Hyun Kim
Sadollah, who is fighting Don Hyun Kim, weighed in at the limit of 171 lbs.

Additionally two new pokemon were revealed. Meet Reshiram (white) and Zekrom (black) who will be the cover mascots on Pokemon Black and White respectively. The joy didn’t last long, however, as the casino denied the man’s jackpot because it was caused by a machine malfunction.
According to officials at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino, the maximum possible jackpot possible on the machine Bill Seebeck played was $90,000, well short of the $166 million jackpot.
This isn’t the first time this has happened. A patron at a Seminole Casino in California thought he had a $259,000 denied after officials stated it was caused by a computer error. In that case, the casino decided to pay the full amount.
As for Bill Seebeck, he was considering legal action, but it appears he has now agreed to an undisclosed “good faith” settlement from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.
