Degrees of Blochistan lawmakers sent to HEC

QUETTA: The degrees of national and provincial assemblies members belonged to Balochistan have bee sent to Higher Education Commission (HEC) for verification, sources of provincial Election Commission told this Geo News.

The sources said chairman National Assembly standing committee for Education Abid Sher Ali had directed the members of National and provincial assemblies of all four provinces to send their degrees for verification.

On the directives of chairman NA body, provincial Election Commission of Balochistan has sent the degrees of members of National and provincial assemblies to HEC for verification.

Well placed sources said degrees verification created stir among the Balochistan lawmakers because 17 out of 20 members holding suspected degrees and this was also confirmed by the Deputy Chairman Jan Muhammad Jamali.

On the other hand, Provincial Interior Minister Balochistan Mir Zafar Zahri has urged the fake degree holders to resign because they have loose moral grounds of representing the public.

Qadyanis attack case adjourned till July 12

LAHORE: A local anti-terrorism court, denying further physical remand to the two accused of the attacks on Qadiyani’s worship places in Lahore, sent them to jail on 14 days judicial remand and adjourned the case till July 12.

The accused—Ma’az and Abdullah—who were arrested for attacking on Qadiyani worshipping places in Garhi Shahu and Model Town in Lahore on May 28, were brought to the court-3 amid stringent security.

The hearing continued for 35 minutes, when police presented the evidences to the ATC.

The police pleaded to the court for further physical remand of the accused, which was summarily declined by the court.

Gunmen killed at least 95 people and injured over 100 others in the incident that took place in Model Town and Garhi Shahu areas of Lahore on May 28.

Court Extends Remand of Shazia Case Accused

LAHORE, Pakistan News: The local court has extended physical remand of Naeem advocate, main accused in Shazia murder case for six days here on Friday. The accused has been handed over to police.

Media has not allowed in the court for the coverage. Police said the media has been stopped on the orders of the court. During short hearing, police pleaded the court for the extension of remand for 10 days as petitioner is collecting evidences. The court granted six days remand and handed over the accused to police.
