Sialkot: Unknown people attack Firdous office

According to details, some unidentified persons attacked the camp office of Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Frdiday morning and damaged office furniture.

Talking to News Trends, Dr Firdous Ashiq alleged that the PML-N workers attacked her camp office and the leadership of the N-Leagues should take notice of the incident.

Civil Lines Police Station SHO told News Trends that 20 to 30 demonstrators riding on motorcycles were involved in this incident.

New born baby dies of lady doctor’s absence in Sukkur

SUKKUR: Owing to the absence of lady doctor, a new born baby died in a welfare hospital of Sukkur on Thursday.

Muhammad Ramzan, a resident of old Sukkur area, has alleged that he admitted his wife in Sukkur Blood Bank Hospital for the delivery of child but due to absence of lady doctor his new born baby expired while his wife is also in a critical condition.

Somehow Ramzan managed to register his complaint against the management of Sukkur Blood Bank Hospital in Section-C Police Station but yet the police have not taken any action against the offenders.

The heirs of the deceased baby staged stern protest outside the hospital and demanded an immediate action against mangement of the hospital. TrendPK

Karachi: Relatives of robbery accused thrash police station

Relatives and friends of a robbery accused who died in the prison protested against his death in front of Rasala police station Karachi. The protesters pelted stones and broke the gate of the police station.

Rasala Police had arrested 25-year-old Imran in robbery case who died in the police station. His relatives brought his dead body to the police station and staged protest. They pelted stones and broke the gate of the police station. The protesters were of the view that police arrested Imran in fake robbery case and brutally tortured him due to which he died in the prison. TP Saddar Irshad Ali told trendpk.com. that action would be taken against police if found guilty. He said that DJ South has been ordered to launch inquiry.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested by British police on a European warrant issued by Sweden over allegations of sex crimes including rape.

Swedish prosecutors issued the arrest order for the 39-year-old Australian who is wanted in Sweden on suspicion of committing sexual crimes, which he denies.

Police said Assange, at the center of a row over the release of secret U.S. diplomatic cables, had been arrested at about 9.30 a.m. (0930 GMT) Tuesday by appointment at a London police station under a European Arrest Warrant.

“He is accused by the Swedish authorities of one count of unlawful coercion, two counts of sexual molestation and one count of rape, all alleged to have been committed in August 2010,” London police said in a statement.

He is due to appear before City of Westminster Magistrates Court in London later Tuesday.

5 killed in suicide attack in Bannu

BANNU: Five people have been killed and nine injured in a suicide attack on a police mobile near City Police Station in Bannu on Tuesday.

The suicide bomber blew himself up near a police van, leaving five policemen dead on the spot and nine injured. The attack took place at Chambeli Chowk near City Police Station. The injured people were taken to Headquarter Hospital Bannu for treatment. Trend Pk

DERA GHAZI KHAN: A protest has been staged against the killing of a man during the police torture on Sunday in front of RPO office in Dera Ghazi Khan.

Bashir Hussain went missing on third day of Eid-ul-Azha and then his dead body was found from the river in the area. The relatives told the media that Bashir went with his cousin to participate in an invitation of friends in the area of Darahma police station, where police arrested and tortured him. Due to torture he died, they added.

Police registered the case of robbery against Bashir, which is said to be a fake case, according to their family.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police seized seven cartons of 130 kilograms of explosive materials from a vehicle; foiling a terror plan.

Police stopped a vehicle with registration number 1748 for checking last night in the area of Sabzi Mandi Police Station, situated on I.I. Chundrigar Road. Police recovered seven cartons of 130 kilograms of explosives from the vehicle during checking and arrested a woman involved in the incident.

The explosives were brought from Peshawar, according to the police. The woman, Amitra Bibi, transports such items for money – she hails from Peshawar. The case has been registered at Sabzi Mandi Police Station and the woman is being investigated. Trend Pk

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Police have stunned the court and people of the country by registering a robbery case against a child who is only two and a half years old.

According to details, police officials of Kala Police Station, DG Khan, registered a robbery case against three robbers in September and alleged that they attempted an armed robbery on a motorcycle and snatched mobile phones. Stunningly, one of the robbers nominated by the police was a minor, Mustafa.

When Mustafa’s father Muhammad Siddiq came to know that his little boy was nominated as a dacoit by the police, he rushed to court with the child and obtained a pre-arrest bail for him.

The police did not stop there, it replaced minor Mustafa’s name with his elder brother Muhammad Saeed.
