Two Chinese among 60 killed in arms depot blast in Sri Lanka
At least 60 people were killed including two Chinese contractors in eastern Sri Lanka on Friday after an accidental blast at an explosives depot at a police station on Friday.
Military spokesman Major General Ubaya Medawala said that police were issuing explosives to Chinese contractors working on a road project when the accident occurred.
It’s an accidental explosion. The munitions were kept at the police station for safety reasons. It exploded as police were issuing some munitions to the contractors, Medawala said.
We believe over 60 have died — this includes two Chinese contractors and the rest policemen, he said.

Suicide Blast In Mingora 15 Cops Killed

SWAT: A suicide bombing at a police station in Mingora here on Sunday, 15 police men have so far been killed and has imposed a curfew in the city.
The bomb exploded in the camp in the police station where the police were going through a training session.
According to reports, a suicide bomber came to training camp and blew himself up among police trainees.
Dozens of police were injured and were being taken to Saidu Sharif hospital.
