The US ambassador in India, Timothy Roemer, said that the meeting between India and Pakistan’s prime ministers is a good omen and was only possible through sports diplomacy.
Roemer said that the United States has also welcomed the Premieres meeting and said that the cricket diplomacy could dilute the hostility between the two countries. He expressed hope that Pak-India talks will continue talks and look to resolve sensitive issues.

Ricky Gervais Show, HBO has a bit of artwork up on HBO depicting the three main characters of the upcoming animated The Ricky Gervais Show: Stephen Merchant, Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington. The three men have been recording podcasts for years. In the beginning the podcasts were free through iTunes, but when they became incredibly popular, iTunes started charging for them. Now there’s a TV series based on the antics of Karl, with commentary by Ricky and Stephen. I’m genuinely intrigued; I want to see more. But the premiere isn’t until February.
In the meantime, the new F/X animated comedy Archer premieres Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. ET. You may have guessed from the late timeslot that this cartoon is strictly for adults. You would be right. I’ve seen the first three episodes and they are 1) High-larious 2) Dirty as all get out and 3) Offensive to all races, creeds, sizes and sexes. My favorite line is, “Johnny Bench called.” You just have to see it.

Cimate Change Film Premieres In Copenhagen
COPENHAGEN: A short film highlighting the impact of climate change on the Barrier Reef has made its global premiere in Copenhagen.
The film is produced by New South Wales far south coast filmmakers ToniHousten and Bettina Richter, both of whom are in the Danish capitalfor the event.
The screening was the only Australian contribution to the cultural program that forms part of the United Nations’ climate change conference in theDanish capital.
Ms Housten says it is a significant historic event.
“Oh it’s amazing, to have brought this idea from its genesis a year ago in theBega Valley and having such support where we come from and the success of our fundraiser and all of the support from our community right through to this incredible conference in Copenhagen, we’re just thrilled” she said.
She says the film’s screening has played a tiny part in the effort to reduceglobal warming.
“We went to the massive demonstration with over 100,000 people,” she said.
“There’s a real mix of what’s possible and the conflict of agendas and the spirit and sense of can we get these agreements?”
The pair hope to secure a worldwide distributor for the film at the festival.
