Gold jumped touch peak at 29,657

KARACHI, Pakistan News : Gold jumped by Rs 82 to touch peak at 29,657 per 10 grams in local bullion market Tuesday, as its international price also climbed to all time high at $ 1,101 an ounce, market sources said.

A gold dealer said that gold was closed at Rs 29,575 per 10 grams on Saturday as its international price touched $ 1095 per ounce.

Tola (11.664 grams) price also climbed to peak at Rs 34,600.

However, silver remained unchanged at Rs 441.42 per 10 grams.

Cotton rates up by Rs 150 per maund

Chairman, Cotton Broker Forum Naseem Usman said here that cotton had touched the peak at Rs 4000 per maund on Thursday on hectic buying from exporters, but declined on the rumours of a possible ban on cotton export.

Cotton was traded at Rs 3750 to Rs 3875 per maund in Punjab and Sindh during the week on rising demand.

Good quality phutti price touched the peak at Rs 2000 per 40 kg while binola price closed at Rs 900 per maund in Sindh.
