Pakistan VS India Semi-Final: PM of Pakistan announced half-day tomorrow

The Prime Minster of Pakistan Syed Yousad Raza Gillani has announced the half day on Wednesday (tomorrow) the day of India vs Pakistan 2nd semi-final of ICC World Cup 2011. Punjab Cricket Association Stadium of Mohali will host of the great match. All government schools, offices and other institutes will be off on 12 A.M. The PM will watch the live match in Mohali.
On the day of big match, The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and The Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) announced that there will be no load shading on March 30. Giant TV Screens are fixed on the public places of big cities and the people will enjoy the match of big screens as well as at their homes on Television.
The excitement in all big and small cities of Pakistan is rose to peak and the people are offering the special prayers for the victory of their team. The Muslims are arranging the collective prayers in Mosques while Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians of Pakistan are offering their collective prayers in Mandirs, Gurdwaras and Churches.

Forgetting their all personal and political disputes, most of the Pakistani politicians became one. They are offering and appealing the nation to prayer for the national team.
On this time the artists are not behind from anyone and are hoping that Afridi-XI will defeat their opponent in India vs Pakistan 2nd semi-final.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani today rang up Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and exchanged Eid greetings with him.
The Prime Minster also made separate telephone calls to MQM chief Altaf Hussain, PML-Q leader Ch. Shujaat Hussain and PML-F head Pir Sahab Pagaro and exchanged Eid greetings with them.
Speaking to Altaf Hussain, Premier Gilani expressed his grief at the murder of Dr. Imran Farooq in London.
In addition, he called PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and condoled with him at the demise of his uncle Mian Mirajuddin.
He said President Zardari is examining the proposals made by Mian Nawaz Sharif regarding good governance.

Several injured in Lahore twin blasts
LAHORE: Several people have been injured in twin blasts that ripped through an electronic market here at Hall Road on Saturday, Geo news reported.
Three injured in Lahore twin blasts
LAHORE: Three people have been injured in two low-intensity blasts at an electronic market here at Hall Road on Saturday, Geo news reported.
The police have reached the spot where the blasts occurred within an interval of 4 to 5 minutes, sources said.
People present there are being advised by the police to immediately leave the site of the blasts.
The shopkeepers upon hearing the blasts ran away for cover but later came back and closed their shops, sources said.
Power supply was suspended immediately after the blasts at Hall Road, plunging the entire area in darkness.
Helping ‘unprivileged’ lawyers is my responsibility: Babar
ISLAMABAD: Federal Law Minister Babar Awan Saturday said it is his responsibility to help lawyers, calling them ‘an unprivileged lot’.
Reacting to the statement of Nawaz Sharif in which he alleged that Babar Awan is giving away money to lawyers to pit them against the Chief Justice, he said: “I am grateful to Nawaz Sharif for remembering me.”
He said the question of distributing money be put to Shahbaz Sharif, asking him who he (Shahbaz) gave Rs50 million to.
“My visits to bar associations are not being made covertly …. the Prime Minster has directed me to work more fore the lawyers,” Babar Awan clarified, adding, the money given to the bar associations does not land in any individual’s pocket.
He said he undertakes visits to the bar associations out in the open and extend grants openly. “It is my desire to make more such visits and do a lot more for the lawyers fraternity,” he said.
Govt not serious about arrest of BB killers: Naheed
LAHORE: PPP leader Naheed Khan on Sunday said that the Government of Pakistan was not serious in capturing the killers of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
Speaking to media here, Khan said both people and history would not pardon the rulers if Bhutto’s assassins were not arrested.
She said that Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, who became the Prime Minister due to sacrifice of BB, should have demonstrated some seriousness regarding arrest of her (Bhutto) killers.
The Prime Minster should also have formed a committee acceptable to the people, she added.

According to sources, the PM will brief president about the discussion he had with the Chief Minister Punjab and PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif during his meeting early today.

Gilani to chair high level meeting on security
Lahore, Pakistan:- Prime Minster Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has summoned a high level meeting in the wake of present law and order situation in the country.
The meeting will be held on Friday and attended by the Chief Ministers of all the four provinces, Chief Secretary, Federal and Provincial Interior Ministers, Provincial Chief Secretaries, Home Secretaries and Police Chiefs. A strategy to cope with the terrorism will be outlined in the meeting.
The meeting, convened after attacks on security forces and educational institutions, would review closure of educational institutions besides measures to protect them from terrorist attacks in future. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will be briefed about the present security situation across the country.
