Transcend Launches StoreJet 25F Hard Drive

Transcend did what it does best, create a new niche segment in the hard drive market.

Manufacturer of flash memory products, Transcend has added yet another latest hard drive to its existing range by announcing the launch of StoreJet 25F a trendy and distinctive metallic designed hard drive that stands apart from others.

Inspired by ancient oriental culture, the StoreJet 25F represents a delicate balance of cutting-edge technology and exquisite transitional beauty.

The StoreJet 25F offers a stable base for resting on a table or computer case. And with its gigantic 500GB memory capacity, you will never worry about running out of space again! A user, therefore, can easily transfer, store, and share important files and data. The external hard drive has only one USB 2.0 connection that works both as the data and power connector.

It measures only 4.5 inches by 3.2 inches by 0.6-inch. Google To Close Its Print Ad Service From Feb 28

In a significant move, Internet giant, Google has decided to close down its Print Ads service.

While commenting on this major move, Google Print Ads director Spencer Spinnell said, “The company would stop selling print ads from 28 February and all previously purchased campaigns would cease by the end of March.”

Spinnell further added that the product did not deliver the kind of results as the company was looking for.

“The product has not created the impact that we or our partners wanted,” pointed Spinnell.

In 2005, Google, world’s most popular Internet search engine, started selling small ads in magazines. Next year, i.e. 2006, the company shifted its focus to newspapers with the launch of Google Print Ads. Starting with 50 partners, Google, further expanded its business to more than 800.

In lawsuits and in public statements, various News organizations have accused Google of making money off their work. Last week, the Minneapolis Star Tribune filed for bankruptcy, joining Tribune Co, which sought protection from creditors on December 8. Some of the biggest US newspaper publishers such as New York Times Co, Washington Post Co, Gannett Co and Tribune Co are Google’s print ad customers.

Recently, Google has also made it clear that it would end the development of Google Notebook, which lets users post content from various sources to one site.

Epson Stylus Nx100

Epson Stylus Nx100, I didn’t expect a lot from a printer in this price range, but was pleasantly surprised by the NX100. It copies/scans, prints photos or regular documents. The scanner isn’t high resolution, but the photo printing is. It has some neat convenience features, like individual color cartridges and a kickstand-like arm that holds up the top while you’re changing them out. It prints quickly, and the pages it produces are surprisingly clean and smooth, with nice dark blacks and rich colors.
