KURRAM AGENCY: At least three persons have been killed in an armed clash during a jirga in Kurram Agency on Monday.
According to sources a jirga was held over a dispute of construction of a house in Dogar area, central Kurram Agency on Sunday (yesterday). During the proceeding, a few armed men of the rival groups opened fire, severely injuring four persons.
Of the four injured, three succumbed in a local hospital in Dogar today. Trend Pk

CJP Rules Out Clash Among Institutions

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan News: Chief Justice Muhammad Iftikhar Chaudhry has ruled out any clash among the institutions.
During the proceeding of a case of Grade-22 promotions sans seniority, the federal government told the court that rules vis-à-vis promotions would be charted out in a fortnight.
Federal Government’s counsel Abudl Hafeez Pirzada presented Prime Minister Gilani’s letter in court in which the PM submitted that the government respected the court and would enforce its verdicts. During the hearing, the CJ remarked that the parliament did a commendable job of disapproving the November 3 acts.
The CJ added that the court believed in supremacy of constitution and was making efforts to strengthen democracy and parliament in the country.

Karachi Factory Fire Doused
KARACHI, Pakistan: Karachi Factory Fire Doused, The fire erupted in a godown of old cloths in Landhi area 19 hours ago has brought under control on Saturday morning. However, cloths and other items of worth millions of rupees have been gutted in the incident.
The walls and roofs were also collapsed due to intensity of fire but luckily no causality was happened.
On Friday, a fire broke out in a godown of cloths ocated in Landhi Export Processing Zone in.
Fire Brigade officials said that this is a category 3 fire. The fire was getting out of control and therefore the department has dispatched all the fire tenders of the city including two snorkels and four bouzers to the site. The fire extinguished after 19 hours on Saturday morning.

Addressing a delegation of Awami National Party (ANP) led by its chief Asfandyar Wali Khan Friday night, President said that Pakistan Peoples Party is committed to strengthen democracy in the country and takes along the parties having manifestos apposite to its ideology.
The President said that difference of opinions on a certain issue doesn’t mean that the coalition parties could not run along. He assured the delegates that the PPP would play its due role to safeguard the federation.

QUETTA, Pakistan: Grenade Blast Near School in Quetta, A hand grenade explosion occurred near girls’ school at Munnu Jan Road in Quetta. According to DIG Operations Shahid Nizam Durrani, two teachers sustained injuries in the blast.

Court Issues Warrant of Parvez Ashraf
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Court Issues Warrant of Parvez Ashraf, A local court here on Saturday issued arrest warrant of Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Parvez Ashraf and others and ordered the police to present the accused before the court on Nov. 21.
On Saturday, local court’s judge Justice Rai Afzaal Kharal ordered the police to arrest federal minister, PPP leader Shahzad Kausar Gilani and others and present them before the court on continuous absence from the proceeding.
It was the fifth time the warrants have been issued in the case of the accused including Ashraf, the channel added.
