Apsara Awards to be the first award ceremony of 2011
The Film & Television Producers Guild of India recently announced the 6th Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards to be held in the first week of January 2011. In conjunction with Viacom18′s Hindi General Entertainment Channel COLORS and Wizcraft International, the producers and conceptualizers of the Awards, Apsara will bring together the top talent from the world of films and television onto a single platform recognising their combined effort and significant impact on the entertainment industry for the year 2010.
The exclusive awards function will host many of the crème de la crème from the Television and Film Industry, who will come to celebrate, support and pay tribute to the accomplishments of their peers.

Apsara Awards will be telecast on 23rd January 2011 on COLORS with stellar performances by top actors and actresses from the industry.
Hrithik, Priyanka Chopra Rule At Apsara Awards
MUMBAI: Accolades continue to be showered on Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra as the duo were named as Best Actor and Actress respectively for their performances in ‘Jodha Akbar’ and ‘Fashion’ at the 4th Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild awards 2008 held here.
Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan was adjudged the best director for ‘Taare Zameen Par’, with the movie also being named as the best film of 2008.
British actor Ben Kingsley was the star attraction at the awards ceremony held at a surburban hotel here on Friday.
The awards ceremony could not take place last year due to the 26/11 terror attacks
Other winners included - Anil Kapoor (Best Performance in a Comic Role in ‘Welcome’), Akshaye Khanna (Best Performance in a Negative Role in ‘Race’), Kangana Ranaut (Best Actress in a Supporting Role in ‘Fashion’), Jimmy Shergill (Best Actor in a Supporting Role ‘A Wednesday’).
